I just decided to do what I think a Greater Mummy looks like tonight for my portfolio. Took about 4-5 hours, all in PS 7.0. I am just happy that I finally finished one painting. I hope you guys like it.

That's a badass mummy you got here.
You might want to get more details in the face for that is the main focus point. It's a bit too sketchy.
Thanks dude! I can not add anything tonight, I am tapped out. I will try adding a bit more details to the face before I head out to work tommorow.
A great place for detail is the mouth, it's closest to the viewer and hence can have the most detail. Careful with all design in the center. I design in 3's. First read, 2nd, and then 3rd is what you see later. You only have 1 going on here - main figure, no background or something to intereact with. Put more detail in your body area or crop it, too much the same. And storywise, what are you really trying to say here? WHo is he/it, why are they here, tell me something important, tell me something about you through your art.

Thanks! I will see to doing some more detail for my portfolio version as well as try the 3's system for my next painting. I tend to enjoy paintings that make your imagination create the story for you. A powerful mummy sitting in his dank tomb contemplating his eternal life/death? Waiting for an adventurer to stumble upon him? Waiting for his royal pizza to be delivered (as he has been doing for thousands of years, it better be free!!)? Or comanding an army of the undead through thought alone. The story is up to you.
