doug seriously, no offense to nicolas and DS you guys do fabulous work, but i feel steaks piece really is the wiiner there. the horse has a sense of loniness, but yet a self awarness of its surrounding. having the word "horse" above the actually horse creats the impression of a sentinent being trying to go against the common practice of "labeling". We are all unique creatures in the world and this horse is no exception. we all have the right for self expression. the use of white space in the composition speaks to the green grass and creates a wonderful conversation between the elements! masterful use of MSpaint for telling a masterful stoy of a horse trying to find itself in a world fraught with indecision and confusion.
in conclusion, i was really bored.

Yeah I see where you're going Cake. I have to go with DS though. DS' pic though is left open to interpretaion. Is that God surfing with that little man on a giant wave, or is he simply a small God in the foreground, and a small man far away on a giant wave, or is God red because of a sunburn, anger, love, or is it a pic of Glactus saying, 'hey Silver Surfer, been awhile"? Whoever looks at it can take it in there own way. It really reaches into a mans heart, and isn't mans heart truly 'Pandora's Box'?

Cake, how satisfying it is to see my art communicate so clearly. The Horse is a symbol of human consciousness in modern society.
Dan, I truly think your piece speaks volumes about the common man and his place in our modern day social order. It really delves into issues that affect us all, every day of our lives. Not only were you conscious of social concerns but racial and environmental as well. The red skin of the focal character is a comment on racial prejudice, all skin is red in god's eyes and the delicate balance of our precious environment is all that stands between us and excruciating skin cancer. Together we can all do our part and make a difference through art.
OH and shit, why the red man always gotta keep a surfing brotha' down. fart.
I actually had a nightmare about the crushing I was going to get today... Guess I'll have to wait to see if dreams really do come true.
