Red face Look at my crap !!!...please

    hi !
well, first post here and first try at painting ever, after 2 or 3 failed attemps+ lots of tutorials reading(<only) and some 4 months beeing scared of my tablet .
I know the colors sucks, the anatomy sucks, but i would be so pleased to know your opinion about it !

    .
oh and i think i should also mention that the original toned sketch was done from a photo(long time ago), but the painting isn't.

The Chest area and the neck looks good. Everything else is a little off on proportion. I think it would be a lot easier for you to get your forms drawn out and corrected in that stage before painting. It will save you a lot of frustration.

thank you guys a lot for your responses !
i agree with what you said, but the main problem for me was dealing with blending colors and making them lose the flat appearance of the first lay out.
anyways, i'll try to do better next time !

You need to get rid of the black outline.

It seems like you've been using a lot of brownish hues. The human figure is very red - it is the color of our essence, man. Don't be afraid to exploit t3h redness.
Socks are essentially glorified wooly wang covers.

I don't think the hips are necessarily too narrow, but he needs a bit of a bum behind him.

In terms of the skin tones, at this point I'd work on making there being more variance between warm colors and cool colors in the shading. So far, it seems to be a conglomeration of pinks, and depending on the skin of the figure you're referencing you could use thin washes of gold on the lit areas and violet on the deepest part of the shading.

Agreed about the redness. Opacity is one thing, but the flow tool is an excellent piece of kit for merging colours!!! Mess around!
