Yeah, I know I didn't get that far with my other sketchbook but I figured I should start over for the new year. I plan to update this every sunday.

Also, I'm getting a tablet for my birthday on sunday, so updates should be a lot more frequent and more full o' stuff as I won't have to deal with all that troublesome scanning and I'll get to try my hand at color regularly. I'm getting an Intuos 3. ^_^

I'm getting my Intuos III Tablet this weekend. I can't wait to face the overwhelming agitation and defeat that surely awaits me as I bring the stylus to it's beautiful silver surface; having no experience in digital art.

Yes, yes. I know. More studies. But I haven't really had much time of late. Y'know, several tests this week and studies next week... Anyway, Life Drawing class starts in Febuary and I imagine I'll have plenty of studies going on then.

You know what I want? One of those gray markers you see smacked down on alot of concept art for the shading. Those are cool.

I'm doing a Resident Evil 4 comic starring myself, exploring how I would react to being in a village full of psychotic killer villagers:

TRANSCRIPTION OF "PLAGAS" PIC:
1. Cerebellum, stem, and even upper spinal chord is encased by parasite tissue. The tissue extends deep into the middle of the brain into the thalamus area where is slowly begins to spread around the thalamus. One sharp-edged tendril reaches across the underside of the brain and cuts into the hytholamus causing most of its functions to dull or disapear entirely (ability to fear, emotion, feel pain, hunger, etc.) although ability to process necessary homeostasis functions remain intact.

Spaces inbetween tendrils eventually fill in with tissue and tissue extending down the stem releases grip and grows culindrical. Upon completion of cylindrical body, many small tendrils or "legs" grow on the underbelly and the parasite reattaches to the host's spinal chord and brain stem with small incisions with these new tendrils (ala Dr.Octopus tentacles). Eventually, the brainstem and spinal chord is again released as the parasite expands its sides and moves forward; completely covering the top and back of the brain with its newly developed spider-like body.

pretty good stuff, the cartoony stuff is still doesn't sync up as a whole which means you're looking for a fun style i guess, so keep at it and have fun.

values are pretty good too. play around with more line variation if you haven't thought of it already.
