Nice concepts and art. The colors of the cityscape in post 270 are beautifull. Remember the game MDK? Kinda like that. Something very mysterious and ominous about them. Good job

Hilbruks: yeah the design for that game was pretty slick, the girl with the big black helm right ?

hmm not much to show, spent like 2 hours on this guy then stopped when i realized how much it sucked. Was an experiment I guess ~ Skin shadows are way to dark.

It doesn't suck. I like the concept and colors.
I would be only careful with using too much pure white especially very early beacause later it's hard to push the form. It's good to stay in that middle range for as long as possible.

    Keep going .

Sweet! I like it. Though, as I have been told way to many times, lay off the blacks and pure whites. Though it looks awesome. I love the feel and colours. Is that painter or photoshop?

That's some really good stuff buddy!!

You're getting better by the minute, it's amazing. The NAD days seem really far away

Your strength really seem to be in your paintings. I have to agree with what some people said though, your work could benefit from using less pure whites/blacks and picking more selectively your areas of pure darkness/light. The highest contrasts draw the eye instantly and when they're all over the place, I am starting to feel like you are not consciously guiding the viewer to the area where you want him to go. In your last painting for instance, I was instanlty attracked to the fur around the hoodie, is that where you want us to look at?

Hey, good luck bro... draw eat draw eat draw... hah!

    quickies

Hey !!! some nice feedback on the last one, thanks everyone for the crit ~

D@niel: Thank you, im a big fan of yours
    Hivemind : Yup i will try ^^
Favrus : Thanks man, i agree, i need to get more volumes using dark tones first and make things pop with higher values.
    Callops: ^^
    thanks

heres some quickies, 15 min studies done during lunch eating the same crappy sandwich each day , i do them to get better with color and to discover new use for some brushes.. And the 2 last ones are quickies from mind, boring subject but again i focused too much on the color and rendering and not enough on the design.

    Have a nice day/night ~

really good studies, dude! the colors look great.
I think the castle in the background on your last could use a liiittle bit more contrast, but they look really good.

yay, ace enviros mate nice using of brushes and color, keep up the good work!
the first quickie needs more attention on the focal point, which suppose to be the rock in the center, juts a little bit more rendering won't be extra

Hey. Thanks for writing in my sketchbook.

I like those last landscape studies. You seem to consciously play with brush stroke direction to contrast different parts of picture (which is good).

http://conceptart.org/forums/attachm...1&d=1233704671 - This one is my favourite study. You can really look at the detail for long time beacause there are many different types of shapes and edges single small part.

Nothing to crit really. Just keep doing these. It will pay off very fast.
