i did this for you tonight
a 7 step tutorial to show my process
i used 2 digital water color brushes in painter for this
"simple water" for color and shadow
"new simple water" for the sketch and light
its a somewhat modified version of justin sweet's technique (i didnt say improved, just modified hahah)
last one is as far as this will go just a 2 hour project for the evening

oh my, some good good things going on here. i really enjoy your use of colors. very water-color painterly-like. the blizzard paint is looking great, nice blue palette with suble oranges. great work all together!

Nice colors, I like it did you use the glow brush?. I've been trying out that brush thing you showed me and I think I am starting to like painter. I still just need to learn to speed things up a bit.

Very creative monsters. I really enjoy the one on your first page with the head in the chest. Your craftmanship is nice. You have a very good imagination with a great mix of the darkness to it. I would love to see more scene like the one at top with the bear and elf girl. I really enjoy the sense of a story.
