@davidefabrizzi:thx, nope, no drawing classes or anything, nothin'at all...had some great inspiration looking at other people work, and watching sFX filled films (King Kong!)

@gmags:thx! i know about that book, but i'm still looking for it, they say its really good

@anjin:thx...yeah, i hear that comment about the "unfinished" look a lot, i don't have enought time or concetration though!

    @zao75231: thanks!

...aw well...reached page 3, that's great ...the problem is...well...inspiration is GONE.I've got some problems at school, so I'd better start studying or i'll have to repeat the year (argh)...so, nothing for now (argh fuckin' inspiration is totally GONE, i can't draw ANYTHING at the moment)(this sucks)

...i hope to start drawing again soon...

Hey there Gnoll! thanks for the comment in meh sketchbook! : D Hey awsome! I found another 17 year old, makes me wonder how many of us there are on the forums. : O Yeah, I plan to post some studies pretty soon.

awsome sketchbook, looks like youve improved alot since you started it. Really digging that cowboy one, the "bang" is a nice touch. : P Those inks are spiftastical! they have a wonderful comic book feel to them. and that guy with the axe and shield looks like he's gonna kill meh. e.e keep doing what your doing, looks great. : ) take it eazy mon! I'll check up on ya to see what new stuff ye post later, Post!

edit: sorry about your loss of inspiration, i totally know how that feels. I'll have the best image in my head and when I'm trying to get it out there will be thousands of distractions around or I'll have to do schoolwork. >< bleh, what the heck..I cant believe they accually want us to learn in school, its ridiculously ridiculous.

    Hi Gnollone!

Well... your newest works seems to be more finished (the inked) but the last one, interesting idea... well... why don't you try to work on it? A robot quad could be a good idea, not so "already seen". Well.. use the light table (is this the english word? mah....) and try to work with the outline, then pass to work to detailes. you could try with this one, just to see how do u feel to work more on the same idea. To change sheet it could be good, and you could work on it changing point of view, like a reflection on photoshop.

    Continue to post, ok?

    hola Gnollone!
Well... I like your last update! I find the knight sitted very natural, and also the "vampire" coloured is well done! Probablylike always with you, continuing to work on the sitted knight and the window behind you could be a good start for a interesting illustration, playing with the lights' rays... but I am afraid that you are too much lazy for it... sigh! Well.. conntinue to post! Uff... damned internet connection that I don't have!

Hey Gnoll! Im really impressed with your sketch work and concept designs. I'll be watching your sketchbook for updates in the future. Which books/tutorials have you studied? as your anatomy looks spot on to me. Thats my main weakness and area i need to concentrate on, wondering if you can give me any pointers.

    thx KuNiva!
well actually i can't say I actually study a lot
basically i just find inspiration around here, but about the anatomy n stuff, i used Loomis books, Hogart books, and some Gnomon Workshop tutorials by Neville Page (that was GREAT inspiration as regards the creature design and rendering), Scott Robertson, Feng Zhu...they're all damn expensive, but well worth the price.Other wise, you just have to practice, practice and practice.Having people telling you whats wrong in your drawings is great too, that's why i love this whle SB thing

Thanks for the suggestions! its funny you mention Feng Zhu, as ive got the vehicle dvd tutorial of his. Well borrowed off a uni mate, its really good stuff but hard to follow imo. But practice makes perfect as they say. Keep up the good work though man. Improve much more and you'll be up there with the best on this site! But like i said i'll be watching your updates from now on.

@KuNiva: thx again man, don't worry, i'll have much more free time this summer, and i will indeed keep on practicing
@Dile:Yeah, pity, but as I said, I just get bored soooo damn quickly, you did a good work too thx for the comments.

Ok, I seriously sat down in front of a bunch of Marko Djurdjevic's sketches, and stared at them after something like 20 minutes i decided to start studying some of his sketches, just to practice.
    Here are some heads

hope to most more stuff soon

    Nice update!

Really nice horse drawings! I'm no expert on horses but don't they have little to big asses?
Nice inks too, however I think the guy with the trunk would look a little better with thicker legs.

Can't wait for your next update!

@WolfBane:thx dude, yeah, i guess we'd all like more time
@Dvorjack:thx, lol yeah, the asses are pretty big , i was thinking the same thing, guess i messed up with perspective in some of them
Yeah, the dude on the right has horrible legs, but for these i didn't have any underdrawing, so i just drew what went thru my mind...

here's the next update, some more sketches (again, inspiration was from some of marks stuff, the one on the left is made up tho) and some kinda hyper quick color study.whatever.

Bella iena! The horse studies are ok, right proportions and perspective...I admire you for studying on books and get these results, I am studying on loomis "figure drawing" but I've got lot of difficulties...è come se a un certo punto mi mancasse il dialogo con la persona che mi sta insegnando ( nella fattispecie loomis) e non so come andare avanti
The robot on wheels is great as well. Keep on posting, it seems like you're improving day by day.

ps: hope you joined the ssg XXIII!

hehe, studying from books isn't that hard, you just have to be in the right mood
thx for the comments.I really hope i'm improvin, I'm putting more effort in learning to draw than at school (and this ain't funny at all)...hope this SSG thing helps, but i'm not sure i'll be able to post every day.

    hope to post something tomorrow,

Yeah, nice progression. I see you like to keep it rather stylized, but i think some realistic studies, with emphasis on volume, value and edge control, will help you reach the next level.

Really nice progression in this sketchbook. You've got some cool concepts. I agree with the comments made by n0fish, some studies from life will really add something to your drawings. Nice to see all of the improvement already, keep it up.
