    That brown-monotone goblin guy that's standing atop his fallen enemy is quite good, in my humble opinion.
    I enjoy the Beast as well - great updates! Some of them really are quite insane, if I think about them too much.
    oh, here's my sketchbook.

    Also, my website. It would get beat up in a fight.

    @Carnifex: you got me there.One of those idiotic mistakes you don't even see until its "finished" thanks for stoppin' by

    @Sirio_Brozzi: damn right man, damn right.Realized only when carni posted what stupid mistake i made.thx for stoppin' by

    @MonkeYoakum: the neck area was the last thing i "studied" before drawing this one.Bridgeman explains it in a very efficient way.The DoF effect is just a cheap blur/sharpen filter applied in some areas.Thanks for the visit

    @Zebz: hehe thanks man, nice to hear that from ya

    @m0uS3r: thanks you very much.Will pay a visit soon

    @Camara: hehe yeah, in the end i started enjoying that moleskine thanks for stoppin by man, the impressive improvement is in YOUR thread, not in mine

    @Dreamworker: grazie Paolo

    @AnthonyFoti: thanks a lot

    @Mr-Joe: no work yet, going to start uni (painting-illustration-comics) soon.I don't paint cause i suck at painting.I'm working on it (kinda) but it takes time and it frustrates the shit outta me.thanks for stoppin' by

    @Scott James: thanks man, could say the same thing 'bout you

    @funfetus: thank you very much man wish i could do better at painting too...stay tuned, i'll get there some day

    @RaistlinTheDark: thanks man

    @kaktuzlime: you must be kidding me dude, i'm the jealous one here thanks for stopping by, i'll make sure i repay the favor soon

    @spudstudios: thanks a lot man!

    @Discoskull: cool thanks man wonder what that last sentence means tho, the "insane" word seems to appear pretty often in these pages, wonder why.

    ok peeps.Very lame update.Another one of those "bad" periods.I'm pretty busy with getting uni sorted out driving licence, and stuff.These are the "best sketches from these days.I've been doing some doodles from hogarts book on heads, but nothin' really worth posting.

    first page of my new SB, and a lame moster (reminds me of one of those lame power rangers villains).Trying out a prismacolor pencil, pretty cool actually.

    ciao!

    hmm I'm starting to think you take hallucinogens to come up with the creatures the way you do very nice concepts, but on the second one, I think the eyes are kind of distracting.

    hehe,that's definately the eyes. the feet are pretty scary imo,so you should rework the body in that manner-more jagged and hardened shell if you feel like it. take away the eyes completely,or make them small and evil ( ) and put a big piece of shell for a head. Hi Ryan
    I like the first sketch, it can be a good start for an illustation. The second one is little confused and flatten, anyway nice to see you again with pencil

    Gnoll, i was taking a break from a sketch i've been fiddling with and this is one of the largest sketch threads i've wandered upon recently. I remember coming across it months ago when in was probably half this size. It's awesome that you've so dilligently updated it and i notice definite overall improvement, your stuff looking alot more decisive in execution, so having been humbled by your prolificacy i'm going right back to sketching. Thanks for the breath of fresh air!

    I'd say lobster man is power rangers, not that first monstruosity. :3 Like how the two arms look melted together, good stuff! Ciao.

    Post

    @maxetormer: thanks fer the bump mate, talk to ya soon

    @OldNoobie:i won't comment the first part of your post.Lets say i draw most of my sketches without usign any kind of drugs you're right about the eyes.

    @Carnifex: thanks for the comment, and agreed on the design issues.

    @Dreamworker: thanks man.Unfortunately these prismacolors don't last much at all.Since you gotta sharp them quite often i can uuse uone pencil for just like 3 drawings before they become too short.I'll buy more soon

    @KLEVR: thank you very much for the nice words man, lookin' forward to seeing what sketch you've been workin on

    @Camara: thanks man.Looks like you're the only one that likes version one of the lobster dude.But i guess me n you are big fans on the whole "humanoid animal" theme hehe

    @Sirio_Brozzi: hehe yeah, i was talking about the lobster guy.I used to love power rangers when i was a kid.Probably thats one of the things i've got my whole monster-lovin' mania.

    ok peeps.I drew the last lobster dude without any planning at all, and i was just interested in putting animal features in a humanoid body.Wanted to recall textures and all the odd bits, but i ran out of ideas, so those legs were lame, as well as the eyes and pretty much all the rest.I tried again, this time with a lil' more planning and with your suggestions in mind.Pity i ran out of scape on the bloody page lol, so i had to come up with some kind of "legs+tail" that didn't take up too much space.Oh well, this is the last lobster i'm gunna do for now, anyway.Gotta get back to normal sketch rhytm soon, but all the burocratic bullshit to get in uni n other stuff are bothering me atm.

    ciao!

    I enjoy quite-a-bit. That lobster guy rocks, of course; but nothing can mess with the shell-loincloth.

    And no worries; I meant "insane" in the best, most artistic sort of way! It was a compliment, for sure.
    oh, here's my sketchbook.

    @Dan Valkar: will do, thanks

    @armetage: thank you, nice work in your SB

    @smuli: aye, i gotta try n control the lines, but i get confused sometimes.More practice is what it takes, i guess.

    @Sirio_Brozzi: actually, i think i'm done with lobstaz for now hehe yep, that was a bad scan

    @Blaz: haha glad to see people actually think that kind of stuff while looking at my stuff lol you'd better keep those 5 stars for someone that really deserves them hehe...not enought hard work in here

    ok peeps, shitty update again.Not much going on actually, haven't been drawing much.At least, not much deserving posting hehe
    Please guys, stay off from videogames, they are EVIL.
    Especially GOOD games, like Final Fantasy XII and Bioshock

    hope school will get me motivated again in november, but for now, lets just consider this a "slow" period hehe

    At this rate, you will win the "Lobster Master" title . Really did enjoy your last updates and the previous lobster designs rocks. That last one reminds me to Yoda but with a twist, probably Yoda's cousin??? Who knows...

    Anyways, keep it up man, great concepts and designs here.

    wow, totally forgot about how hard working you are! This is insane! Cant believe you can manage to draw this much

    Saw some of your concepts for Lifeblood, darnit, your lines are getting better and better! I could only dream to achieve the same confident flow and quality on my linework. You make me wanna go grab my ol' pencil and start drawing old school again

    Cheers to you Ryan, your gonna make it BIG someday!

    Ciao Gnollissimo! :0 I really liked the sketch of the alien nailing that guy, its fun. That gob1.jpg painting of the goblin face is tight too, I'd say get some darker shadows in there if you can, and some more subtle highlights, looks good, keep doing those. :3
