    re

    The Psionic Mutant with the helmet is a great concept and design. Your monsters always remind of halloween and even more so since it's the season. Keep up it!

    I like your SB a lot!
    I think it might be a awsome idé to get into color. It will help you a lot. And combining different painting technics and color-tones will help you alot. I find skintone the hardest thing in color yet, but there will always be obstacles right.
    Cheers!

    I like that second character a lot, especially his expression and how he holds that good-looking spiked axe. On the psionic mutant, I think the second version has the best values but kudos to colouring it!

    Recent work is showing a lot of improvement dude, these characters are strong. Good design and execution. A concept related critique that i have is that the psionic mutant's outfit doesnt fit his character at all I think. Beyond the helmet and some subtle details im really not getting the feel of the description you gave us. Seems that that same outfit could pretty much fit unto any generic soldier with minimal changes. You couldve given us more personality and history of the character, I dont think that a crazy looking looking eradiated psychotic mutant would be so cleanly dressed, or rationally prepared with supplies or would necessarily even bother to bandage himself in his mental state. THats just what im getting from this character. I really like the overall concept, and what you did with his head and helmet design, but other than that i dont think you took it far enough yet.

    Been a while, neat updates for sure...your doing the right types of activities for character design thats going to soon knock our socks off if it hasn't already! It would be neat to see some digital value focused practices from you...so you can work your way into even more richly colored things in the future

    @MeTaL-Mike: thanks man!

    @Dreamworker: grazie Paolo

    @Kronos: hehehe, looks like it didn't last at all but the right mood is hopefully coming back, finally ciao Tom!

    @Pigeonkill: hehe might be beacause of the suit...altho for some reason i was thinking of a circus boss or something.hehe halloween is everyday and never depending on my mood

    @Vorace: hey thanks man...colors is a big thing, but i'll be workin on it soon...i know, i know, i say it every time

    @Camara: haha! thanks camara, but you're the color masta now...just wait a few years and i'll kick you ass!

    @B-Man: thanks man! yeah skintones are a bitch, and i have the bad habit of avoiding what i don' enjoy doing...but i'll try some more

    @smuli: gald you like that one man! cool, looks like at least i got the values right LOL

    @SirGreenSock: thank you very much for the comment man, always appreciate it when someone takes the time to crit but then again, i don't think i ever said he was psycotic, but "psionic", and i said that cause the concept was he was a mutant that has added sionic powers that are provided by the helmet, that was probably stolen as the rest of the equipment

    @VanDog:good good good thanks man

    @Jakers:i hear that digital value practice a lot...and you are all right.I cannot promise i WILL do those exercises asap, but once thing i can promise..gimme a couple of years and i WILL rock yer socks off (at least thats what i hope )

    @OldNoobie:haha thanks mate read below for explanations, and no videogames actually, its just that i'm a lazy fucker

    @Camara:read below matey...but thanks for askin'

    @Blaz:i have no idea of what you mean with "liquorice" but thanks

    @Hurley: thanks man, stop by again

    @Sirio_Brozzi:oi sirio! wtf refining it AGAIN?! i'm done with that sunnovabitch...time to more on to the next one...soon enought

    @kischi: haha indeed he is...thats people!

    @maxetormer: right man, goblinshark pointed that out to me too...i did try and adjust it with te transform tool, but i didn't do it enought...practice practice practice will help me i guess thank for stoppin by, crazy mexicano!

    oook people.Hell yeah looks like i've been away for a while
    Lets say was in one of those crap\lazy moods where you can't draw anything...can't do much about that exept more drawing...so here are the latest sketches, hope i'm getting out of that mood...hope to show more soon
    i got a brand new macbook pro 17" now, so i guess i have no excuses for not trying going digital again...and you can see my ugly mug from this pic provided by the webcam thighy

    AND, i got a "demo" of uni last monday and it just looks great...very nice place, very nice people...check out pics of the place here:

    http://www.accademiabelleartibologna...a_ambienti.asp

    going to italy's biggest comiccon on sunday (lucca comics), hope i find some inspiration there (EDIT: nope, i didn't go i the end )

    dunno why,but the zombie head just kept me staring...i think it's the intensive gaze it throws back,it's like a staring contest or something
    maybe it's also the mouth,the simply rendered fluids coming out are very nice,reminds me of jamie hewlett abit (tank girl: the oddysey esp.)
    dunno why,but the whole pic just...works.
    edit: the burping critter is very nice too. damn your fast edits

    Some strong looking things on that update. Creatures are awesome of course, their designs look spot on to me but those are something that have blown my mind for long. I really like the lines and spontaneous look of the centaur too and awesome pose on this one, you can really feel the space and tension. His hands holding the katana seem somehow insecure with one finger extended though and I noticed on the angry, shouting man that you haven't given too much attention to defining the hand gestures. Maybe you could try think about them more as a tool to express the character or something because for me at least, hands are pretty much the third thing I look at after face and overall pose. Nothing crucial as most of your hands seem great the way they are but it might add some extra depth in some cases I think.
    This
    looks really convincing to me, the pose looks good and seems to be depicted clearly and effortlessly with a few lines and shadings.

    Study hard and try to keep posting!

    Frazrules, gnaa, and spike creature man...Thats where its at in this update. Frazrules (does that mean what i think it does? ) was my favorite in this batch, really nice posed gnollmaster. You taking part in that batman challenge? o_O c'mon man, get back in the mood too. Will be waiting for new updates soon. Good luck! (what happened to the workshop thing?) Ciao.

    Those are good sketches even if you feel like you are in a slump. These times are good for experimenting (different mediums, papers, etc) so if it doesn't dome out good, blame it on the slump or the material but if it does come out good, slump is over.
