Theres a demo which you could check. It dosent spoil much of the game if your worried about trying it before your buy. Ive only played the demo, and from what I have seen, it fucking rocks. The only reason I have'nt got it yet is because Im waiting for the Xbox 360

The FPS aspect is'nt FPS at all, it feels more like rpg in first person. Sure you shoot stuff, but thats only half of what is about. And playing as Kong, O.M.G. Thats a game in itself right there. Half the time you forget your playing the game. Being theres no hud anywhere in sight, you don't know whats an fmv sequence and whats ingame, and thats what makes it so great.

    Its jaw dropping stuff !
We'll ride the spiral to the end, we may just go where no one's been

I got it yesterday for the GameCube and I gotta say, very impressive. The visuals, sound, level design and enemies all do a very good job in creating a very moody game with a consistant rising tension. The first encounter with the V-Rex is a great moment as it was handled incredibly. The few Kong levels seem like little linear cinematic inserts but that's not to say that they aren't still enjoyable. After one particular level where the rexes are giving you an especially hard time, it's great to then see King Kong looming over you as you finish the level and then take over as him and exact some revenge for all your frustration caused by the dinosaurs. Pure moment of beauty there.
