    m@. 's sketchbook : speed paint (29/11)

Thought I would start a sketchbook so I can post my stuf that is neither speed-paints , nor finished pieces

Here is my latest stuff, with my CHOW / IDW entries, some preliminary sketches and some nonsensical digital sketches without refs nor planning.

your machines and the fourth peice down are very good. the one with the girl and the dog is a little discomforting, as both the girl and the dog seem rather flat, the girl rather awkward in seeming like she's looking right at us. you pay attention to light, and all else seems good, though remember to pay attention to how the figures interact with their environment.

very good start, though, and i look forward to your future updates.

    Regards,

    Woodruff

Great work, just saved that last one to my inspiration folder. I love the lighting, colors, and comp in that one and the castle-looking interior with the soldiers/people in it.

I think if you did 10 scribbles on a page they'd somehow form a cohesive picture. I've loved looking at your speedpainting. You have an amazing knack for putting things exactly where they need to go. The dragonhunter and the last pic of the house are my favorites.

you make my jaw drop everytime i look at your stuff, mate.
your enviros are in a class of their own. right now your characters aren´t as strong.
work on faces, poses and some anatomy. then you´ve got it all covered!

Shouldn't really crit anything about your work cause I know basicly nothing of painting with ps. Also in my opinion there's not really much to crit. I love your art. Especially the way you get surfaces seem dirty and bumby like they'de be "in real life".
