    Guess who fails at photography?

What am I doing wrong? The values I spent hours on have gone to hell, and there's these annoying patches of white in the teeth and eye sockets

Is it me? or the camera? I'm at wit's end

good photography is very hard b/c you need tight control over the lighting of the surrounding environment to get something decent. Plus your equipment might be crappy. ; )

You may want to play with the levels in photoshop and see if that helps.

In the absence of information, I'll have to suspect that its "you". Modern cameras are too developed to easily accept the blame that they blotch up a photo.

I'm willing to blame the camera for the date and time, but I think the fact that it's not square in the frame is all you. I generally have to punch up the contrast in PS because the camera doesn't have quite the range of value capture that your eyes do (believe it or not!)
