    quick question

    What paint medium should i use in painter IX to color in scanned images, I have tried a few different things but they all dont look right.

    I highly recomend the digital watercolors - the Broad water brush specifically. Experiment with some of the others. You'll need to play around with them to get a feel for them, as you can manipulate wet paint until you decide to dry it (Layers/Dry Digital Watercolor). You'll also want a different medium brush to place highlights as well.

    I tried out the water colors but i doesnt seem to let me biuld up values or erase.

    Yeah I also likie the oils

    What kind of colouring-in ?
    What kind of style/art ?

    And what ... do you mean by "they dont look right" ?

    Make sure its the Digital Watercolors, not the watercolors - there's two different types.

    Dry your water color layer inbetween coats, otherwise it won't work the way you are expecting. You have far more control with them than any of the other media in painter.

    As for erasing, use the Pure Water Brush while the paint is wet. If you dry it, the regular eraser works fine.
