Man, I like this a lot (a lot, a lot)! The colors and feel are very soothing. The perspective kind of throws me off, though. It looks like she's looking into the mother of all widescreen tv's (or the platform is tilited up in the front). I'm also having a hard time reconciling the actual position of the sun (based on the shadows on the girl, the overhang, and the statue, along with the urn and fruit). I guess it just seems like she should be in shadow (though she looks better in the sun).

    Wonderful!

hmm, id like to see a wee line where her spine runs, to make it look a bit more natural
other than that its absolutely LOVELY, except the water falling from the statue, is it just me or is it like "spraying" out, downwards
anyways, you gave the thing great feeling, looks warm despite all the cold colors, makes me miss summer

Can't wait to see further updates on this one.

The values of that hill (?) at the left hand side is looking gorgeous. Btw, is that foggy patch in the middle meant to be water vapour?

hey thanks for the comments, I keep putting it down and picking it back up. I was looking for ways to improve upon it so the critique/suggestion is appreciated. The water vapor thing was an idea that it is some eloborate method for watering the gardens and keeping it cool. I really have to finish it, I think it will require lots more flowers.

GORGEUOS!! I can't wait to plaster this piece all over my computor screen.

Here's a suggestion...The gardens of Babylon were hidden spectacles, yet this environment seems wide open. Here's an idea of what I mean.

HA! Didn't realize the image would shirink so much in photoshop. I hope you see what I mean.

Hmm, perhaps it's better to have a "waterfall" coming out of that watering appartus and going into a river down below (the water vapour can be seen as coming out from the splash made by the waterfall). I think having only water vapour coming out from that is rather confusing (coz we'd naturally expect a stream of water in a context like this).
