Hamster: funny.
DRAM: where's the exorcist?

No, actually I really like this! I strongly preffer this style of defined line over the painterly style you usually do for the DSG's. Sometimes you make things too blury when you paint them. If I can suggest something, for a next DSG, do it like you did this one, black lines, and keep that on its own layer at the top, set to multiply. On a layer beneath, paint the colors, but leave the black lines. See what results that brings.Originally Posted by Hamsta
If you want to get rid of the lines once you do the painting, you can just delete, or hide the layer, or paint more details on a layer on top of the lines one
EDIT: the expressions are really nice Hamsta, the only crit is that there are perspective problems, like in the ellipse of the table.

funny thing. I'm actually painting a peice right now that can be interperted as this very theme

hah what a great topic. Had to participate even though I should be doing work.
Mattgamer, I like the simplicity of your piece.
grembloh - that style also appeals to me, very unique.
Also, nice perspective, dagreengo.

Hamsta - it looks like you are better in painting than in doing linework drawings, so I think that it could be useful to exercise linework drawing. Maybe connect this 2 ways of creating picture together.
MattGamer Lovely work, I like the blueprint look, with all those small guidelines. The color is great, emphasizing things, and the text sits very well (and adds some humor)
Too bad about the banged up tea pot, and I fail to understand what exactly is on the child's head
bRØk3n_sPiRiT Oops, almost forgot to crit yours![]()
I see some issues with the nearness of colors, especially when it comes to making out different elements, i.e. the girl's shirt is almost the same color as the grass behind her making it flat (or is it a bush?)
Some issues with the exorcist and the perspective.
The table is a bit bland, not much of a tea-party, is it?
I'll give the line art thing a go on the next appropriate DSG, 924 was done before I read your crit, most likely I'll be impatient if the runner up is an enviorment or something![]()
4thAngle: Thank you for the kind comment!
Hamsta: To clear things up with the girl's head, it's actually a demon manifesting out of the little girl. A similar concept can be seen in Resident Evil 4 (PS2, Gamecube), when you are halfway through the game the villagers have some sort of parasite in them which comes out of them through the neck after multiple shots to the body or head. The demon's about to attack the minister with it's tenticals. This freaks me out... just to think this stuff really does happen.I hope this clears some things up.

I figured it would be something like that, but I'd still like more definition as to it's exact nature
It's a demon called the Polterguiser, it uses the vicum's brain tissue to form blade-like matter that comes in two different types of colors; black and white.
The demon breaks through the skull at the brain and rips a hole big enough for it's tenticles and Uklea. As demonstraited in the picture above, Uklea is the bubble matter that allow the tenticles to form blades in a matter of seconds.
The swiping motion is instinctive and usually can slice a humans head with two hacks, though elephants take quite a few more.
If you want more history on this terrible demon, just ask. But that's all I'm allowed to reveal at this time.![]()
