I think these are great! Very nice work!
The symmetry of the face, especially the eyes, is perhaps a bit off (it's better in the second than the first). If you mask half the head (either half) it's recognisable as Dean, but as a whole, slight proportion changes become noticeable. That's what makes portraits so hard though! :p
Anyway, awesome work, very cool that it's done in oils too. The smattering of paint to the side is a nice effect too.

I am not much into old celbs, but from what I can remember J. Deans face is more narrow..
It might not be Conceptart, but if you want your C.Art to be good you still have to practice on more traditional themes first! I mean a Space Marine with the coolest armor ever is worth nothing if his face is just a crappy smily.
