The guy's hand doesn't look real, I think you'd benefit from some reference for that. Some more contrast on the face would be good too, because it looks like he has no chin. Original idea, I like it.

Hah, I like the penguin. I'm not buying the feet though, they seem out of place. I think they need to be smaller and more delicate, more like bird's feet. The knight is cool.

hahaha I like them both
6 is right about his comments. Also I think the hair of the penguin looks a bit strange. But geuss that just add's to the effect.
Got some interesting character designs. Something to think about on your newest piece, concentrate on a focal point, right now the main focal point is the dress part of the character because the highlights are too powerful down there. Naturally speaking, you wouldnt have bright highlights down there anyways unless he was light from below as well. Keep up the good work.
Thanks guys! Glad you like my art..

I like the centaur, it's an original concept. Kind of goblin-ish. The big guy is nice, but I think his having such a small head hurts the piece.

I think the last one is to dark, you can't see what's happening anymore.
You guys disliked the two things i LIKED about the picthe small head and the darkness.... hehe
Anyways, a pic for a challenge here on CA. Very rushed, 'cus this was like my fourth try at it and wasn't too motivated...

Hey Nice sketchbook Andorz!
You have improve some to judge from the first page, just keep it up!
The cape painting has some great qualities I think you need to take into your other work. There's a softness to it, and an attempt to really render the form that is lacking in some of your other pieces. With that said... Push it!!! More detail, do more with the head than just hide it under a so-so hood. Challenge yourself with your design as much as your painting skills.
And do 20 more of them
Thanks Dile and BD!
About the weak head on the last piece.. I just dre the cape and then it looked really empty so i drew a quick body there..
More cloth-folding/shading practice!
I used ref to see how light would reflect on a ball, but that can't be seen now, so.. No ref

sweet study (folds and shading one). I like the contrast in your pictures, gives it action and energy.

It looks very nice, but the cloth is too stiff. Is there a wire sticking out of the sphere to support it?

hello andorz, how are you?as I already said in another thread, i really like that chess-playing skull guy. I think that is one of the best you've done by nowyour other update I like, but I think your humans could be so much more solid, if you started studying anatomy hard. . . . you've already got the right ideas, now you just have to learn to execute them good.
What Haldor said. That piece is great!! The only thing that bugs me is Death's hand. It doesn;t seem like it was really thought out-- Traditionally you see the old skeletal hand, which would make sense in the context of his fleshless face. Instead, it's just a rather lumpy white hand. The other thing that might help the piece is to work a little more color into it. I like that the desaturation of the piece really pops the one hand that is in color out, but perhaps some warm/cool shifts in your greys and maybe a pop of color somewhere would really give the piece more visual interest.
