The dynamic composition and values in your last piece are amazing. I would love to see more of this kind of stuff here.
Cheers.
Hu-huuu says an owl.
Here´s a little something I have been up to lately, at work we´re doing something that´s keeping me too busy to draw fun stuff. And can´t show of coz. Darn. But here we go, a book cover (done in less than three hours from scratch), a column picture again and a pic for a getting_married_couple I don´t even know (this one REALLY quick). Oh, and another newspaper illustration. So four pieces this time.

Excellent update!
That beer to gay pride cartoon reminds me of Bloom County (Opus)
And the lukis cartoon is awesome!
Keep em coming!
i love the illustration stuff!
i think the COW would be more dynamic if the beast was facing us just a little bit more, so the rider could also be doing the same. cool stuff tho, just a small suggestion to keep in mind maybe. cheers!
The rhino cannon pic is gangster!! The concept is delicious.
great stuff, glad to see an update (always glad haha)! All look great; that bookcover looks really forboding, definitely looks good. The gay pride cartoon is great lol, love the rainbow flag and the shirt. To kinda combine the last two a bit, as always your expressions are wonderful. great style in general on your cartoonish pieces. Love the look on the guy in the last one; hard to describe but it's definitely fitting haha. great stuff man, keep it up!![]()
i love the last piece you posted, you are very good at combining great painting skills and linework together without downgrading either.
the beer cartoon is hilarious >.<
post more!

Phewwwww
A LOOOOOOOOOOONG while I have been away. We had a big project at work, had to do a 3D-animation with pretty tight schedule so had no time to browse around. But here´s two new columnpics.
I am at the moment taking part in a painting class so I will have new painting coming up every now and then, whenever I feel comfortable showing them. Also I have a project with two book covers which I was thinking of trying to do with oils (at least at first) so whenever I get something done there, I will show.
But now, two pics. Here: Look: Check ´em out:

The pic with red x is funny. She didn't upload herself enough. Hehe.
Heya!
Sorry but I am AGAIN in a hurry. Have to drop these in quickly and get back to my paintingclass...
So, the story is that I found A Phil Hale book GOAD and got slightly inspired... I studied his works and tried to catch something of it to my own pics (without too much success) but at least what I captured was a really dark mood...I dunno. They are angels after all he he. I only have these now so apologies for the inconvinience of the small thumbnails and huge pics but I believe you ppl will cope. Also thrown in an additional Phil Hale -valuestudy painting copy which I did under the influence in a bar, bored, waiting for my girlfriend to get off from work (whch eventually led to me waiting for six hours and getting pretty pissed (pissed meaning drunk - not angry)).
Each painting measures 10 by 10 cm, they were made for a miniatue painting biennale somewhere in Poland and they should be on display there at some point this summer. GO SEE!!! Ha ha!
AND ALL THE PROPS TO MR HALE, HE IS SO FRIGGIN COOL!!!

Edit: Fixed better pics and changed the title of the post to "Teh Tribute To Phil Hale"

http://www.todellisuus.net/~hiipi/Pics/lukis.jpg -LOOOOL Love this one. The book cover also looks very nice - good job on that!
Oil paintings - very nice studies - 2nd is my fav. How bit was your brush?
Thanks you lads!
Fooxoo I don´t eXACTLY know how big it was but if I would compare it to something I would say around the same size as a really REALLY REEEEALLY small fish.
I started a new one of the series today and will go continue it tomorrow, I can check this for you! And actually I had two brushes. Both small - fish size approximately...
(much smaller than that)
hey Hiipi, always happy to see an updategreat stuff too! those miniature paintings look amazing! really nice painting style, and I like the way you did em. definitely getting a darker vibe from em hehe; really nice pencil sketch as well man, also nice and dark like the others. great stuff once again man

Thanks yous!!!
Here´s a little something again:
(already posted on the Finished Work -forum)
This was an assignment we had to do at the painting class, an anamorphic picture. I took the picture of a friend for this but ended up using it on both of these paintings, also the one above. This measures up to something like 50 x 30 cm (30 on the left side, y´know... ;-) ). Don´t know really, this was an estimate.
Here´s how I painted it:
And here´s how it looks like when wieved from an angle:
AAAAAAAAAAND another of the series:

I love this anamorphic stuff, great job! Love to try this out myself one of these days...got loads of examples of this kind of stuff from 17th Century Dutch artists...
Cheers,
Arco
wow that anamorphic stuff is way kewl. Somehow I think if the light came from the left instead of the right, the illustration would look more dynamic.
man, you're showing hella creativity in those cartoons too. They read very well. Mad propz
