Okay I thought if photography & photo manip is allowed to be posted on CA .. hey then Ill do a sketckbook & stick photos into them with digi-glue

This is a sketchbook ... & this is not DA - Deviantart !!! ... so not too much ass-licking please .. it very easy with photography ... if its crap or boring say so if U wanna

Ill probly post a few things that are already up on dA ... .

So here is one of these typical images which get (well not in my case) lots of "Its beautiful"'s on DA ...

If the image is too big .. please tell me to resize.

i'm not sure if you can post pics here, most post illustrations, but it's not a drawing only site, so i'm sure your fine. as for the pic.
- it is too big sir
-i like the contrast presented with the black background, although it might have also worked with a dark blue or green.
-i like the unity of the picture, the warm colors and the couple of minor flickers capture the activity and motion, and life of the moment.
- towards the bottom, there is too much black space, or maybe it seems that way because the piece is so large.
-nice choice of candle, i would've been naive and chosen a bright purple or green.
over-all i like it, and since i'm not a photographer i can only anylize it the way me and my drawing brain can, with the principles of design.
my only real crit is that it gets boring really quickly, if you had more candles it might have been more dazzling. but i'm sure that's just the ADD talking. but keep doing what your doing, and have fun with it. cheers.

Cheers Jtoons for ur reply .. Ill try to figure out what the perfect size is for posting .

"gets boring really quickly" - I think that is prob a general problem of photography .
If it is straightforward photography it wont have any fancy interesting effects & if it is a really simple piece like above .. yeah xept 4 the candle there isnt much happening .. no painter style .. choice of colours .. imperfections of perspective etc .. fortunatly / unfortunatly the camera already takes that part away & replaces it with its decission

So yeah I agree it is boring

..
ADD/ADHD ... hmmm I had the same idea a while ago ... even going through an ADHD checklist & getting lots of marks ... if only these mind-problems were black n white .. yes or no .. unfortunatly not .. these humans are just complicated creatures

BTW hey another one ... minimal manipulation ...

UPDATE : Resized them .Tthey seem fine if they at or below 1000 pixels size .

Ach just another one ... hey this is a sketchbook so .. actually I really like this one ... .I dont exactly know how the camera managed to do this cool look .

The only thing I did to this image was to adjust brightness + contrast .

So here .. the great outdoors .. sorry it just reminded me of the scene in trainspotting
