    Arrow Duckie's sketchbook

Hello! My name is Duckie, I'm a 19 years old Italian comic student and I'm new to this forum. Usually I don't roam forums and I still don't completely get how this site works, so if I make any awkward mistakes, please bear with me.

A schoolmate recommended me this forum, and it looks like it can help me improve. I'm encouraging any kind of critique, advice or suggestions!

Keep in mind that I only started my studies this year, with school, and until then I've only been drawing half-serious anime art in a very poor way (and I can't paint at all).
I'm hoping I can learn a lot through work and practice, so let's get started!

Posting some of the nude model sketches I did in class for now, they're about 10/15 minutes each.

Very nice studies, especially the clothing folds. I personally always find those to be a point of frustration for me xD
Your figures seem a bit stiff, but that's usually just cured by more practice. Next time you doing figures think about the line of action and really push the pose you're seeing. It'll give your figures a lot of nice character and weight.

Here's a lovely gallery of nudes by Glen Keane, one of the best animators out there right now.

Keep em rough, don't worry about perfect lines. And keep posting your progress :>

    Hope this helped!

Hi Duckiess, you and I have had the same idea, first study the outline to settle the pose, after that go to shading. But As in my drawings we are missing anatomy and the 3D aspect. Some fellows advised me to study from Andrew Loomis (find his books for free in the net). I like your drawings, the line could be better but it is a matter of practice as Dana T said. And shading must improve as well. But don't worry keep drawing and posting. This is a great community.
My Blog or My Sketchbook would benefit from your comments.
    Thanks for visiting!
