    Angry Bomba's Monstrosities of Mayhem(October 10th update page#2)

    Cool to see everyone's sketches and wanted to join the pile. As you will see, most of my interests are within creatures and monsters. I have a lot of learning to do after getting to know most of the Massive Black guys. Honestly, they make my head spin.

    Anywho, here is the first round of scans....

    hey, nice to see you starting a sketchook up here. I got a small crit for you here: when you're doing those hella rendered (and sweetly so) pieces, it looks as though you're winging it as you go. You might want to try visualizing the final result first so that you have something to work towards (I know this is one of my larger problems)

    Thank you for the warm reception! Generally speaking, ConceptArt has been a great place for me when it comes to inspiration and learning. And it pushes me on to create more works and better works... I hope.

    MIKECORRIERO---> I've gotta admit, your work is rocking! Great designs, colors, and mood... something that has evaded me. Everytime you post a creature, I am gitty to view. My hat is off to you.

    phoenixrising_10---> What are you questions? I am totally willing to share with you what I know.

    os4 la gune---> You've got it

    almaghest---> Fat naked zombie, I think he is funny too. Have you seen the remake of Dawn of the Dead? There is an awesome scene where a guy gets attacked by a huge fat zombie lady.

    panda---> You are right, I am winging it. Come to think of it, I am winging it every single time I draw. That sounds funny actually... "I like to wing it all most every single day". Each one of these drawings are done on the bus while going to work... so usually I lack any reference or resources to flesh out some of the details. As you said, I do try to imagine what the final image will look like.... but from my experience the design sometimes changes because of happy accidents while rendering.

    ApolloNuevo---> She is my favorite one too. I really would like to render her, but I honestly just like the lines. Maybe I will try and paint her up later.

    That fat kid---> I will definitely keep posting. I've got so many pages of crap, you will not believe. As I post more, I will start showing more thumbnails and roughs than the highly rendered pages. Rendering is fun, but I produce more sketches thou.

    Art_Addict---> Yeah, I was unsure about starting a sketchbook after seeing Insane Visions and Wes's pages. But, then again, I would not consider their sketch books.. "Sketchbooks". They are more like finished pieces of art. No matter, figured that it was time and hope you like

    csteingart---> Sweet! Do it!

    Fozzybar---> Aye dood. Yeah, I've got alot more that I want to scan in. Actually, I am going to try and scan some more in today!

    Diego---> Hey man! Yer not a loser, it's cool that you were able to find my post.
    Alday.J---> Definitely got more coming. It's cool to know that people are interested in seeing my doodles... just makes me want to create more and better pages.

    Here are a few more pages... not a rendered as the previous sketches.

    phoenixrising_10---> In recent years I prefer to draw small. It's easier to see the shapes being created. Plus, these drawings were reduced from the original scans... which might explain the tiny details.

    As far as ideas, I am constantly looking around at life, photos, other artists...anything. Usually I will see a few shapes and be inspired to create something from that. Art is a cross breeding of artists looking at each other and seeing how to drawing shapes differently.

    Here are a few more drawings to be added to the pile....

    madplanet---> I am trying man!
    panda---> Agreed. The contrast renderings look best... but they take much longer to do. Wish I could bust them out as fast as Wes does.
    Diego--->Thanks dood. Funny thing is that I know other artists that love to draw humans only.... but when they draw monsters, they just destroy me. I'm starting to draw more humans lately in hopes that it might better my monster designs.
    Jens---> Thanks
    cartoonfox---> Nice to hear from you. I checked out your sketchbook and was really impressed. And you are only 19? You are leages above me when I was 19 and will totally kick my ass in years to come. Really!
    That fat kid---> Thanks, here are some more sketches. This time around, I decided to throw in some life drawing studies.

    Do you use pencil or pen for these drawings, I can't quite tell. I really like all your monsters, they are very well developed and filled with detail. It is nice to see movement in the pictures as well.

    Keep up the fabulous work!

    Thanks all for the recent replies! I'm in a middle of a huge crunch at work, so I can only pop in to say 'Hello' and here is a new sketch. It's to honor my favorite comic 'Goon' and it took about 80 minutes to complete while riding the bus back and forth to work yesterday.

    I promise to write more and answer questions when the deadline is finished in 10 days.
