    More concepts...

tensai: The stockings were done in Photoshop by using a texture fill of a grid pattern, and then distorting the layer with liquify. It's a little hard to control and not quite as pressure sensitive as I would like, but the results are o.k.

AmishCommy: I just PMed you. Did you feel it?

T-Raktor: Thanks dude! Go easy on the lube.

    Orozc0: thanks noob

    Couple mo fo ya...

im really diggin your style. its like a cross-breed of anime and american. not that it hasnt been done before, but you pull it off real well! The percpective on those flying machines is nailed very well. And you really need to practice drawing female nudes, bro! jk, those are very erection-worthy pencil marks.

really dig the new output of work Chris. Did the frat boys at the bar push you to kick more ass so that you don't end up like them? Sorry I didn't get a chanse to hang out too much at SoI, but you escaped really early on too.

AmishCommy: Thanks mate, the Frat Boyz reminded me of Darwinism, and then social Darwinism, which is a pretty motivating concept. Had to bail out of SoI early due to EXTREME hunger. I thought I was gonna pass out on the cross-dresser (wouldn't be the first time that happened )

Now that I've recovered from the Ironworks show, I'll post some new stuff. Got a busy week of packing and moving ahead of me, but I'll try my best to stay active.

Really dig the variety dude. The ships are cool(especially the large freighter), and your older works are damn good too. The attention to detail is great on the characters, and the style of coloring is quite appealing. :I Great stuff.

Wow, rockin SB page! That first burst of color physically knocked me back in my chair! So rest assured that you gave a dude in Sweden some "frissons" of pleasure and a hankerin to get back to his own SB! Would you mind sharing your technique? You seem to have a great feel for making digital looking like traditional, and that seems quite rare. Watercolors, inks, gouache, tells us more! Oh yea, are you a student or workin man btw? (im guessin working, but where did you study?)
    Cheers Tim

    Technique

    Sirio_Brozzi: Thank you much!

Interceptor: Yeah, looks kinda "Homeworld", doesn't it?

timpaatkins: Thanks! Well, all these recent vehicle sketches were done with ball-point pen on regular old newsprint. I decided to color them in Photoshop and fooled around until I came up with using a Soft Square brush with texture, pressure, and size sensitivity. The noise texture set to Hard Mix gives the appearance of "bleeding". I use one layer on Linear Burn for the mid-tones and shadows, and then a Linear Dodge layer for all the highlights. Color and multiply layers are added as needed to tweak here and there.

Here, try the brush for yourself: Concept Brush

I'm a workin' man and I've only studied in my sketchbook

T-Raktor: Ak! More chickies on the way!

I'm glad you all are enjoying these, as I'm really enjoying doing them. Here's a couple more:

I really like the style you have going for all these space ship designs. Excuse me if it was already mentionned, but what are they for?
