This starts about 5 or 6 years ago, and I only got through to 2004 today. I'll post more as time permits.

Great sketchbook man...but this doesn't touch on what I saw in your sketchbook this Sunday! You have so many great things going on...really superb stuff. Lovin' it.
If I thought you had one weakness...it would be faces. They aren't bad...just not a ton of expression in them right now. But that's all I got...you are mad skilled.
I hope we get to hang again soon...was great!
    peace!

gibsini: Thanks mate. It's gonna take me a while to scan these sketchbooks, but more's a-comin'.

vigostar: Bay Ridge CA chapter unite! I often sketch at the Starbucks on Bay Ridge Ave and 3rd. Feel free to join me usually around 5-ish.

loomer: Yep this stuff is crusty (like 5 years old or so) but I think you can really see improvements in the last several pages. Expressions are definitely a weak spot, and I am still trying it down. We should all jam out again soon!

    Thanks all for the comments!

Thanks Fat Kid. sniff..my first stars. I'll tape to the wall like the first dollar a diner makes.

I seem to missing a couple sketchbooks (gasp), so there's a break in continuity here. This is my current sketchbook. Enjoy (or hate).

Sorry, some of these scans didn't come out so hot because I sketch so very lightly.

Stuff from the Society of Illustrators Jazz Sketch session.

Looks like it takes 3 hours of live figure drawing to get me warmed up.

daaaammnn yo - this is one of those times when you feel like your getting a nice surprise! love those sketches of your first post. especially some of the design were really good. love the leaning to american, then japanese comic art, then more realistic. and after all that you hit us with these color ills. i like the reference to ootomo in http://home.earthlink.net/~ryker1971/images/morris.jpg
is that one traditional or digital?

    post more man.

    a little dusty in here...

Yikes, been a while since I updated this thread. But ya know how it is, busy living. Anyways, here's a quick painting I did just to sharpen the Photoshop painting skills. It's based on a pic I found on the web, and yes, it is total hooker-wear, but I like the pose, so there!
