Hey Max! Thanks for the crits, i'm trying to work on my structure but somehow it seems quite hard. Guess i'll have to hit on those life studies hard.
here is a study from a photograph google was kind enough to provide...

The frog is very cool. You got the form, the color, the texture, lighting... Very finished piece for a study.

kitsu Thanks man! i played around 2,5 h with it, so i'm glad it shows
i think it's the most thorough study so far (excluding the anatomy stuff in my traditional SB.)
here is something i did today. kinda fast PS 7.0 and 1,5h. Tried some custom brushes. could have pushed a bit further, but i'm beat.

That toad is flat-out awesome.
Millä tekniikalla jäbä on tehnyt noi väri hässäkät. (näyttää mukavilta)![]()
max1975 Thanks man, i had a blast doing it.
Odie Mä voin selittää sulle tarkemmin sit ku nähään taas. Voin poltella sulle vaikka jotkut tutoriaalit. Kannattaa myös kattoa tän foorumin tutoriaalit läpi, niissä on tosi tiukkaa kamaa.
Did a DSG just for laughs, 45min PS

Hey man. Good sketchbook. Keep at those anatomy studies as well, they're most useful. Look at Bridgman as well - if you haven't done so already.
That red frog/toad is superband I like your red dude with the green eyes as well.
All your non-human stuff rocks! There's something anatomically incorrect in your humans tho, hard to say exactly what, that feels sorta distracting. Anyways, love your digital stuff.
impressed with your trad stuff again...love this one: http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v3.../inkfish78.jpg
max1975 thanks man! glad you liked. The one you pointed out was kind of bitchy to draw, but i guess it turned out ok.
kapturowski Thanks man. Can you be more specific? I guess the measurements are bit off, since i didn't measure anything, just drew, but if you can point out other flaws i'd be thankful since i've become quite blind to crit my stuff.
Baaaah! Hi man, thanks for dropping by and for the kind words. I haven't checked Birdgman out yet, just Loomis, definately plan on doing so in the future. What book would you recommend?
Some knights... ballpoint pen no sketch, really messy...

Shoulders a bit squished...great hands and fantastic rendering on the legs. Another batsuit with nipples, but maybe people won't complain so much this time![]()
max1975 Thanks man, i think i didn't pay too much effort into the design and looking back it looks kinda generic, i mainly put effort into the rendering (bad habbit i know...)as for the shoulders i kinda went with eye measurements, i guess i slipped somewhere along the way
here is a dsg i did in 1000 seconds.

max1975 Thanks for the kind words Max.
I think it's my sick mind that keeps on churning theese abominations on canvas, just playing around with shapes untill i find a form thats pleasant to look at. Mr. Hand pointed out that it looks some weird species of predator, so i guess it has some familiarity to that also
Verao Thanks man.
I think i'll try this weeks COW.Any crits are much apreciated as this is still very much in WIP state

nice! the still lives and creature paintings are awesome.
with those paintings, though, you should really start studying how to use textures. right now, some of the renders look like everything has the same surface... a smooth, metallic material. look into that!
keep it up
OddsThanks man! Regarding your crit about my textures (or the lack of) you are spot on, this is something i've been trying to better myself at, i'll definately keep on working on it !![]()
todays DSG nice topic, too little time to do my thing

Crappy catwoman, done in ps.

Heelo. You've got some really cool and diverse stuff here. I absolutely love the frog. The textures and especially the higlighting is brilliant. Your anatomy is not perfect but who cares. Since you've started this thread your pencil rendering has improved a lot. I really enjoyed that still life drawing (inkfish82.jpg).
Keep at it. See ya.
