Your linework is impressive. You accomplish a lot of depth with it.
Can't wait to see the garden graveyard picture finished. How are you stuck with it?

    Initial CHOW3 sktech

I asked Poise for her advice and she gave me a draw over of what to fix. And Danomight told me to fix the eyes
The camel toe is her joking around

Here's after I followed thier suggestions

I started to play with color.. I like the idea of the white leather.. but I'm not a fan of the purple hair so far..

Tomorrow I'm off and I'm doing the good lineart. Hopefully I'll have enough time to get it all colored, CHEERS!

Looks great so far. I agree about the purple hair, compared to the current colour scheme, it seems a bit of an overkill. But then again, that might be what you're actually going for.

    hey Loren,
this is coming along nicely, not the usually detail that you do and I sorta miss that. Truefully I'm going to be honest it looks like you just weren't into this character. I think she will become one of Loren's famous characters if you add some more detail somewhere.
I think the purple hair is not bad, because I like the yellow against the purple makes you look at the face. maybe you can tone it down with some white pencil or something. and put in some purple to her outfit to harmonize, maybe purple on the badge and on the belt.
and....... I can't believe you put that draw over I did on here , now I look like I'm obsessed with camel toes, haha oh god! my rep has gone to hell.
well MS I'm off to bed. ttl

ok one last thing.. did you ever finish the hopper character, painting her, because I just looked at it and her face is looking awesome, damn it! finish the sucker I want to see!!!

Your stuff looks really strong. The faces look pretty simillar throughout, so you may want to just do studies of different faces. Celebrities lend themselves well to that excersize. But most of all it's your hands and feet that suffer, and detract from the images. You're sort of getting the forms, but not quite. It feels like you're guessing alot on the hands, which you shouldn't have to considering you have two of them at your disposal at all times. Also, try loosening up a bit on the faces. They're feeling a bit static... That's all I got.

It still is all looking good though. Those are just a few pointers to boost the quality level that much more. Just keep on keepin' on

    Peace,
    -Daniel

Alday Jay - Thanks! Un fortunately I did'nt get a chance to finish. Alot of personal stuff came

Badger - Hahaha, I don't mind the dirty language. And I'll get you to eat marmite soon enough

Sir Green Sock - Yeah.. it's a bit outlandish compared to the rest of her, I think.

Poise - Thanks for the tips on harmonizing. I've only really started to play with color in the last 2 years or so.. so I'm pretty bad when it comes to that kind of stuff. All help is VERY much appreciated.

Phuzion - Woh... you're one of my heroes!!!! Thanks a ton for the advice. I always notice how natural your hands look. I especially love the image of all the hand gestures that you did. (With the bitch slap and all)

Dood, that paper is so cool! Do you have a whole sketchbook with that old crusty stuff? Lucky.

Nice hand studies man, I love the line weights, you always do a great job varying weights. Hmmm, a crit, the top two on the right look good, but for the most part, I think some of your fingers are coming out a bit stubby and short. The one in the top left for instance, the index looks like it might need an extra segment added. Keep at it man, I'm sure after a few more pages of these, you'll have it down.

Thanks, Dan. It's actualyl not real paper, though. I stole the trick from ParkerD. Just adding an image of the paper overtop as a multiply layer Do a google search for "old paper" or "dirty paper" there's lost that come up as images.

Thanks the the comments on the hands! I'm going to keep hitting the bridgeman books until I nail it

cool hands, I suck ass at hands.
as for the ref'ed stuff, watch out for the proportions. The trick to drawing from ref(or life for that matter) is to measure everything against everything(if that makes any sense at all).

solid work and cool paper trick. I may have to use it sometime. Guess I'll give credit to you and parkerD for sharing it. hands are awesome they show a lot of thought put into them. Your blue-line work is solid. I can see how you get your lines right now. Oh and the chow stuff was coming along nicely

Here's some loose stuff, like bumskee said to do I'd alot of fun.. I need to work alot more at it, though. Most of this is REALLY crappy, lol. I kind of like the girl that came out of it, though.

Dude.. u have a beautiful style, I really envy your line works.. very tight, solid and confident. great imagination and skills to back it up, you are going to be right there at the top in no time. sweeet love the SPs, I really like the second one, it's got more character than other ones. As I said before, add some strong lighting! u know what you are doing, keep it going bro.
