Don't know why but that first one is doing some odd stretch thing. I can't view it correctly. Love the line work on the second post I see a lot of McFarlane influence in your style. Maybe just the way the noses are done and your line quality.

    Good stuff.

And now for nit picking crit of the week. The boy in the second post looks consistent except for the nose. The stylization on the first panel would suggest a smaller nose but in the next panel his nose is rather big and square.

Yay! Jean Lucs got a sketchbook! Looking forward to seeing more Loren! Some of the works on your website aren't showing up, but that could be a twitchy Firefox I 'spose...

Lovely stuff, very clean! Good line weight! Though on the first one i think you should have varied it a bit more in the far distance. The depth scrambles a bit.
Nice stylistic rendering, Really looking forward to more

Awesomeness fantasy drawing, very comic like. Great use of lineweight and lots of cool subtle details. Can't wait to see some studies and more characters!

Lawd, your line quality is jus lovely. I really want to figure out how people manage to make such nice thick and thins so clean.

    http://www.deicomics.com/images/gatery30.jpg
This is sweet. The *only* thing I think it needs is jus some application of value to help seperate foreground, middleground, and background. Right now my eye has no idea where to go in the composition.

arg the pinkness, tis making my eyes go all blurry. but its still a nice drawing
couple of things though, the line-weight on the upper body of the boy(i think its a boy?) is great, but the lower body blends right into the backround and it's hard to tell whats going on.
You might also want to add some different details to the boys glove, It looks almost like an oversized hand, and the details you did add give the impression of fingernails.
I think you might of also used a bit to thick of a line to make some of the plants down in the canyon, It makes them seem overly large and almost a bit too cartoonish.
The last thing I noticed was that the clouds seem to blend into the backround, adding some cloudish details will make them pop a bit more and make them more, uhm, cloudy?

Sorry for picking out tiny insignifigant details to crit

Royal T - I'm regretting drawing it in pink, lol. Because I want to color onto the board with markers and watercolors... but I think that...just maybe the pink will clash with everything, hehehe. and it's a very effeminate boy.

bengonzalez you're quite correct. I should study my characters a bit more before committing to actual drawings of them.

poshspice I'm afraid I'll have to get on my webgirl about that. I'll write it in my Captain's log

chr!z Thanks, man! I do have a wacom tablet, but I want to try coloring that one with traditional mediums. So be sure to give me a huge when I come cryign about how I screwed up.

badger I see what you mean now that I look at it. I have problems with looking at individual items rather than the picture as a whole. I'll be sure to keep this in mind!

Danomight thanks alot!!! I actually have a study of this character that I need to get scanned very soon here!!

redFIVE you know.. I was thinking about just jumping in and coloring it. but your values comment has made me decide to do some black and white light studies in PS first. thanks, man

MrCrowpsey I'll try not to disappoint!!

snowsfall unfortunately it's already been inked! But I'll have to try to emphasis the fact that it's all glove when I color it. thaks for the advice!!

Here these go.. after accidentally posting them in the lounge under someone else's thread.. yeesh.

I fixed the problem of HIS left ear being too high, and too close to his ear. And the fact that the ears are a different size. It still needs more work. Then I'll get a good scan of it, so you can see the whole body. it's on a 15 x 20 board.

I never do fanart really.. but for some reason I was compelled to do a few of these sketches

I wish I could fix this up. but I lost the drawing

this is a bit older... still on the old pink lead kick

a sketch of my best bud sitting on a patio bar

Wow ! Remind's me some Madureira's stuff ! It's well done, clear, with good expressions... but sometimes the scans are really "gloomy" (I wanna mean "not clear"-hope I put the correct word in that case), dirt or blur... know what I mean ? I'm frustrated in some case, cause the quality of your scan deserve your drawing's ones.
    Wich are marvellous, man !

I love the attention to setting you have in the first one. The rocky cliff face is excellent and very convincing! I am also very appreciative of what you put into the costuming of your characters--they are not too flashy or over-the-top with extra features, but are still very unique. They are creative without being unrealistic, and add a lot of character to your...characters........is that a valid phrase? Anyway, I am especially fond of the clothing of the woman in pink lead.

Your line drawing is excellent, I would be curious to see more tonal or colored works.

Excellente! I wish I had the patience you have to make such nice lines. I agree about the Joe Mad comment, it reminds me of his work also, mostly the linework and the hands.

The guy with the sword has some pretty sweet armor, and I like how you handle the folds on his clothing. I like the girl as well, really cool clothing designs again. The last page of sketches is nice, feels very random yet the composition came out good. My only crits would be to watch out for making your hands too big and also be careful with you eyes, sometimes they are a bit too high, sometimes a bit crooked. Other than that, keep posting!

Nice sketches up on the next to last post. I love the color lead stuff that you were doing. they remind me a bit of Prismacolor Pencils.

The graytone of Gatery looks awesome, I'm loving your lines. I'm reaching to find flaws in your line work and coming close to empty. The only thing that I see that may need some work is the wrist on the hand with no glove. Also the fingers on that hand seem to be at the wrong position at their base on the hand. there should be a slight slope declining from the middle finger to the pinky.

    Keep it up.

Wow Mr I, really confident stuff *shakes fist*
This one made me laugh because it always happens too me.
On A lot of these, you just avoided drawing the hands, yet they are one of the most emotive parts of the body. I can see you are technically good at them, maybe lack of confidence?
    Keep filling this book.

Love that last WIP that your working on she looks very warrior like. Usually we see these very soft females but she look barbaric and earthy nicely done.

On Bobbies (Not the WIP but the Studies). Do more studies they look a bit too round and firm and look like they are just sitting on top of the figure and are not part of it.
