    Hey Qxzi!

The watercolors are cool...the first one, all dark with the black sky, just isn't working. The blue/green and red/gold are both very cool to look at, but I'd guess the last one, with the more subdued, natural colors will get you the best mark.

Nail clippers are very well done, and it seems like your grasp of perspective on the architectural drawings is improving (though it's still off on the cellphone).

good stuff man.. i love those watercolours of the alleyway.. i think the one suggestion i would make it trying to do some linework, rendered stuff looks great, but doing a drawing with contours will give a new depth to your stuff.. you'll take your focus away from filling the space with tone, just outline everything...

    keep it up

Qxzi, nice renders you got here! I'm really digging the wallet, you captured the folds quite well. The angle of the cellphone from the previous post is interesting too, as are the nail clippers. Pretty soon these will be popping up from the page and have people scratching their heads. It's good to see you using water colors too, mixing up the media is something everyone should do... including myself. But keep up the excellent work man, the improvement is evident.

Yo! Good lookin' out! I like you envirostudies! The alleyway and the latest church are very cool! I like this best of the watercolor ones... because it's greyscale for the rest, and the red hits creates focuspoints and leads the eye more effeciently through the scene..

    Keep on fighting!

Hey dude. You're going pretty hardcore on the studies there. And they're kicking ARSE I must say. And I absolutely love the wonky guy.

Your abilities with a pencil are awe inspiring. Keep going, man.

hey. thanks for stoppin by my sb! you know i was thinking, i haven't seen much anatomy study from you for a long time. i think it would be a much greater investment to (although tablets are fun) buy some books about anatomy. a great one is hogarth's dynamic anatomy this one or this one. you studies of value just keep getting better. keep it up.

If you have money to burn, get the wacom now Then you'll have it whenever you're ready to really start using it (had mine for a year or two before I did anything good with it

Wassup Qxzi, youve been making great progress and been really motivated. Very cool to see. I really like what you've been doing with the watercolors too, keep building on that. I also thought the lineart drawings of the buildings next to the photos a few posts back were pretty cool too. Exciting man, keep on drawin!

hey!!! I answered your comment about the tablet!
anyway the contours are looking great! ok the only thing that i see reoccuring in them is that when you have parallel lines in perspective they converge, meaning the farther away from the viewpoint the closer together they appear. on your notepad the sides from bottom to top get further apart when they should get closer together. just something to think about. later.

    hi qxzi
been reading some of the posts here and there are some fairly critical ones but you are improving mainly because you keep drawing, and that`s the key, whatever people say believe in yourself and keep putting pencil to paper......you`re doing some great drawings from life but don`t forget to fill in with even some basic shading, especially at the base where it will help ground your study object, and give it form and stop it looking flat......
good advice on Hogarth, he`s really good, spent a lot of time drawing almost all of his drawings at one time or another, if you want to draw people study people like him and draw from life, models etc.....
keep drawing that`s the main thing to say, study and draw.....and thanks for stopping by my sp.....

Nice update! I really like the footballboot. I don't know if it's a concious or not, but the lines farthest from us are more... blurry as opposed to those nearest the viewer... it creates good depth! Might be worth remembering for later.

    Keep 'em coming, man!
