Hi Everyone!
I would like to share a couple of sketches I recently finished. Took me about 4 hours each. I would love to know what are the industry standard time for such a work. Also any critique is greatly appreciated.
Thank you in advance...

My strengths are figurative, but I will try to help with observing it.
My first interpretation of them is that they are chinese thems. Both the same area from different times of day.
First one:
- It is missing the buildings from the second one. If you are depicting the same area at different times, it needs to be close to identical, with colour changes only.
- With seeing them more, i see they are in different areas in the room, no matter.
... actually, please 'introduce your pictures so that its easier to understand. i.e. I see a little part of a building in the first, but that give me the impression that the red background is a fog. The red background doesnt indicate wha it fully is, it needs more strength in shadows and light.
The second one doesnt have the white snow reflecting white on the pillers edges.
That looks like a beautiful environment for a game. I'm also designing a game myself, and I'm not too sure about indusry standard time for conceptual arts. A lot of the levels I've designed, I've done freestyle, and have turned out pretty decent (I can do the whole concept thing in my head and translate it into 3D, skipping the whole 2D concept process). The layout and the look and feel of game levels is probably the most important thing to have done in concept. As far as taking time on the perspective view, lighting and texturing, you'd have to do it all over again once you start working in your level editor, and much of the time you've spent on those in your concept design will be redone in a different method anyways. You've got an awesome look and feel going on there, I hope it turns out great for you once it's in 3D.
