    Faster Brush-Size Increasing/Decreasing ?

This is probably a stupid question but I did use the search button here on the forums and yet there has been no answer to this problem:

When I use the " ] " or " [ " keys to change the brush size, it takes my pc ages to significantly increase/decrease the brush size. It is good for small changes of the size but if I want to go from big to small or vice versa I still have to use the tool bar for a quick change. Is there another hotkey to e.g. increase/decrease the brush size in steps of 5 or 10?

    Thanks in advance..

while holding CTRL and ALT, click and drag. You should see a marquee. That will raise or lower the brush size however much you drag it.

    Hi,

You can set Painter to increase or decrease brush size in specific increments, i.e. 5 or 10 or whatever you want when using the [ and ] keys:

    Edit > Preferences > General

In the lower left quadrant of the dialog box, you'll see...

Brush size increment [type the number you want here] pixels
