Wow, that is really symbolically gorgeous Tristan, a beautiful homage to those who died.

I still remember back to that day, it was unbelievable, like out of a movie or something, seemed so surreal.

I can't beleive how long ago that was. I was still in highschool. I did'nt even realize it was the 11th. There's a marvel comics tribute book of comic artists drawing scenes to commemorate. some very touching stuff in there. I have to read that again.

i've just, never really cared. until i saw ground zero in new york. then i realised how big it was. but it's stupid that there're building a memorial tower there. it just hits me as wasted money and space.

p.s anybody notice that the two towers' silouette spelled out the number 11? it's a little freaky.

Sad day indeed, but it seems september 11th has been underminded by hurricane katrina. no one i know really rembers today is september 11th ...has it happened already that shift. you know like you can ask anyone what happend on september 11th and theyll tell you but if you ask someone how usa got involved in wwi theyll be absolutely clueless... that kind of shift . godbless the families and anyone else who had to endure pain because of those terrorist.

I just watched this award-winning documentary of the two french brothers who were there at this time actually to make a movie about the fire department...

I watched it the first time shortly after the disaster and yesterday the second time...

I recommend it to everyone who wants to know how it was like to be right there when it happened...

ps: Elwell...i think if the melted wax were at the inner side of the candle it would look more like a tear (since tears come out there usually)...nevertheless a very nice piece...

Beautiful piece! My brother and his wife was in the towers the day before they were destroyed and lived in a hotel very near. We were sick of worrying, so far away and all we saw was fire and smoke right where they were staying. They were ok, but soon after we started to realize just how many people were killed, oh man.

didn't seem like that long ago. i remember watching the news in my architechtural drafting class. we were actually going over the tensile, shear and compression strenth of different steels, and also some stuff about ANSI standards.

Sept. 11th, 2001.

I came into the office, turned on the radio, and the dj was going on about "the truly dramatic events in New York on this remarkable day..." No mention of what had just happend. They then went into their music.

I recall this vividly. I could tell he was shaken, so I went into the living room (working at home has its advantages) and turned on the t.v.

Oh. Fuck. That is what he was talking about. I think I watched t.v. for four days straight trying to grasp what happend.

I'm sometimes stunned by the historic events that I've witnessed, that we all have, really, in recent years. And I think of what the world was like when I was a kid and what I thought it would be like when I got to be an adult, and I think about what the world is like now that *I* have kids and what it will be like when *they're* adults...

No, its ok, when you cry, the tears form in the inner part but they slide over to the sides and fall from the more external part. But I'm not positive on it.
