Dude nicely done I'm eating them up. I like what your are doing here. The one comment is that he looks off balance. It may be a tilt in the scan or something but try and keep the figure to a center of balance.

    good work.

Nice SB, Dan. The gesture in that 1-31-06 sketch is very nice, right down to the tilt of the head.

your work is quickly starting to become one of my favorites. The fluidness of the form is looking nice and even with the unfinished legs it's all working pretty well. The only problem that sticks out in this one is the her long neck. But it's nicely done none the less.

Hey, you have some nice pencil sketches going here. Might i suggest doing some master studies to try and refine your sense of value and hatching? keep on truckin.

Hey nice designs, I just want to say your rendering in pencil looks nice! in the drawings at least the ones on this page the abdomen area seems to be left fairly undefined, it weakens the drawings you clearly indicate the chest, latimus dorsi but vaguely hint at whats going on in the abdominal region? The girls up top look the best in my opion, are you using refernce on those there seems to be a lack in the imaginary when you get to the monster the drawings not as strong as the more literal like the girls, the armor is nice you have a good variety, the bottom boy looks unfinsihed, which it may be the sword /dagger? looks weak apears to short for sword too thick for dagger, looks like the "idea of a sword" more than an actual weapon. Great stuff thou' Look foward to your progression. Sorry its a quick C&C but i'm sleepy and i got two more! Anytime you could use some C&C let me know.

Man your work is looking very good. Right now I'm in a bit of a slump and this is very refreshing to look at. The only comment that I can give you is that the past few where looking very nice. then these last two lost a bit. Did you Change the size you were working on? Don't take it the wrong way they are still good but something changed a bit.

Thanks Ben and vctr for the crits, they're both super helpful. I think the last couple are a little different than before because I'm losing the approach I was using. I think if I give the Puddnhead dvd another look, it'll be a good refresher. I wish I had a few more dvd's or the chance to watch some more pro's work, it's nice to have a different perspective at how to approach a drawing.

vctr- Yeah the sword is pretty funny looking, but I did that on purpose, I wanted it to be like a knife, but I wanted it to look like a small sword, crappy concept I guess .

ben- keep up the work man, I think your stuff is coming along nicely, just keep drawing a ton

Here is a quick sketch from the paint chat thing. Only spent like 5 minutes on it cause they had to shut down the server. I did a couple of these yesterday, I think one is in the paint chat topic in the lounge, so I'm gonna start posting them in here when I'm done.

Thanks Tiffany! Yeah, I'm still in an everlasting battle with anatomy. Hopefully I'll start to get it a little better with some practice.

Dano, I think it's great you're pushing the legs a bit further! They're coming out really well. The feet too, but watch the ankles in that last image. The inner ankle is always higher than the outer ankle.
I'm really enjoying this world you're putting together as well, assuming these are all part of the same series. Can't wait to see more!

I'm a big fan of the striped face and how the pattern carries throughout the hair. Any plans on putting some of these characters into settings or all out enviros? Bring it!

nice sketch book danomight. I dig your shading. My only suggestion (which someone has probably already said) is that i think you might want to do some muscle studies- some of your characters could look even better if they had some definition. Otherwise, really good stuff!

Man your work is comming along very nicely. I can start to see where you are getting the tonal range to stretch a lot more, good work.

You are one cruel bastard for doing that to the poor guy for the CHOW. No man should suffer through that.

More character drawings, kinda revisiting and refining older characters I came up with, adding to the world.

Awesome Characters Dan! Cool designs and Charcacters. I think it would benifit you a whole lot if you did lot's of anatomy and head studies. A lot of your torso's look flat and indefined. Really study the Torso, male and female.
keet it up! it looks like your Poses, rendering and design is improveing.

Sweet concepts danomight. As poise said before, your character's torsos seem flat...some more contrast and fat...lol could fix that. But overall sweetness
