Nice work. The technique is quite good, and the texturing isn't bad either. However, this isn't really in the style of the Star Wars universe. Nothing wrong with that, but don't advertise it as something it's not. Just something to consider.

Also, the lightsabers are bugging me. Sorry to put it bluntly, but they look like white sticks with red coloring around them. "Real" lightsabers would not show up at all against a white background, because they are a light source and you cannot brighten pure white. Never allow the lightsaber to darken any pixels.

Lookin' good, though. Keep up the good work!

    Thanks!

You are of course right. "...this isn't really in the style of the Star Wars universe"

I just used wrong words, but I understand what You mean.

(My campagin runs far into the future of the Galaxy, over 1500years After Battle of Endor. Star Wars After I call it. And there is really something different about this age... )

I kinda dig these quite a lot. Very nice.

I have no idea how one would bent light to achive a scimitar look to ones lightsaber, but hey.. it's futuristic, right?

    I kinda like them.
Sure right, they don't look very "Star-Warsy" (does this kind of word actually exist in the english tongue?) but I'd say they fit quite well the look of the prequels rather than the design of Ralph McQuarrie. And the look reminds me even more of the animated series and the sketchbook for jedis and siths of episodes I-III.
Looks cool and fits very well that character of the "Old Republic-Theme based Pen&Paper D20 Role Playing Game".

But I'd love to join a rpg directed by a game master that draws out his imagination that good. If he can tell stories as good as that that campaign will rock.

I don't like the new d20 system, I'm a member of that old d6 system from West End Games. It's the same thing with the prequels - don't like em - so I stick the god old stuff... but thats leading too far...

Keep up the good work! Looks really cewl. Loved to see some Headhunters or smugglers from you.

    That's just my opinion.

Hey, please do not be sarcastic..!

In the official storyline of Star Wars there really WAS a Jedi Master that was using a lightkatana.

I'm not telling this is smart, but... Hey, do not search for logic in Star Wars, OK..?

    KampfHase

    Hey, that campagin IS rocking..!
And as soon, as I translate it to ENG I'l post it on some SW site.

Ok im going to be completly honest here:

1- The position is lose, well designed clothing, the weapon fits the personality you want to show, but.......The neck is misplaced, and the chest´s perspective looks odd ( maybe because of the neck, im not talking about how long it it, cause it is quite long andyou probably meant for it to be like that, but requeck the placement in the upper body, or just notice how the shoulders look, also the green eye is kinda off, and the white iris is also to far off

    2-Well acomplished character

3- It looks nice, but it haves the same neck problems ( remmember im talking mainly about position)

4- To be honest, you need to check the entire anatomy on this one, the arms are to short, the pose is strange, the face needs work and the the torso needs to be revised in terms of proportion..

    Thats all

Thanks for the tips! It really helps to find holes in craft...

1 - Got the "neck problem". I find it now in many of my pix'z. Fixin' it.
Bout' the chest: I wanted to make her look "shorty", but the head is really too big, and the limbs too short. Now it makes me think, she looks like she is a dwarf..

2 - Darth Niod. He was first..

    3 - Got it.

4 - When i finished it i was surprised. "Where is her right leg?" I asked myself... But I'm working with next sketch of her, cause she's my favourite character.

It is good. I'm a big fan of Star Wars, and I don't recall ever seeing a cat like race...correct me if I'm wrong, actually I'm not a "Big" fan....just a fan.

    Hi!

What I like in your posts is that you use watercolors to design your characters. Not many use that in the age of computer-coloring, so it´s cool.

My suggestion: They seem to be a little bit static, why don´t you give them more dynamic poses ....or did you want to focus on the cloths?

It´s nice to have another Blame-fan around

Maybe that´s what the others meant by "they don´t look very staw-war-ish". I think the anime-styled faces don´t fit very well with what most think of, when they hear "Star Wars".

Don't know if anyone said this, but the lightsaber in the first one is wrong at least to me because light can bend like that...

Nice pics. Here's my friendly advice. I think the proper term is "Starwars inspired" or "a Starwars stylization". That's a very important term in art... dont forget it! In the future it can easily avoid you even legal problems.

    Keep posting pics.

BTW, I see no problem in the bending laser thing. No one ever asked why lucas' light saber behaves like a solid object or why the laser doesn't go indifinitely and suddenly stops a couple feets away.

    Ahhh....I love sci-fi.

I like the cat character. It is in my opinion the best one there even if it doesn't have a shiny glowy stick in her hand.

Oh by the way I was wondering were I could find poeple who play especially the West End Games Version but also the new Wizards of the Coast Game? Google search didn't pay off... were can I find like-mindeds over the internet?
I know this doesn't belong here but I thought it's a chance to get some infos about the rpg webrings.
I've always been searching for rpg gamers that didn't just want to kick stormtroopers asses and gear up and espeacially good masters who didn't stop at just telling the story but also illustrating it - haven't found em jet.
I know not everyone can illustrate what's in his mind the way our artist game master can do it due to his talent... damn shame.

    Anyway... keep whatever up

If its possible to just stop a laser from the lightsaber to create the tip in the Star Wars universe you could just as easily write in an ability to bend the laser as well.

These are cool Lovelock. I especially like the first one.

    Thumbs up Phew..!

Thanks to all of You for comment's & crit's!

First of all: Bout the catlike races in SW:

There are at least 5. catlike races in Star Wars universe! For example:
    - Humanlike ferals named Catharrs
    - Agile, furry Farghuls (cat-girl above is a farghul)
Yeah, It's shock, I know... "There wasn't ANY in the movies..!" Truth is, that the SW fans (most of them) aren't interested much abot GL's movies..! They read tons of SW books, handbooks & RPG material. Most exciting thing about SW is that it's continously expandin'! Even George Lucas is sometimes somewhat shocked bout' his "child's" official storyline.
That's all for the SW universe stuff now. Though it's not the place to discuss it.
Intersted in SW universe: There is a handbook known as the "Guide For Star Wars Races" in bookstores. I recommend it highly, cause' all art inside is made by R K Post, and I don't think I have to introduce HIM, do I..?

    dubpsychosis

Yes, lads & gal's! She is coming, and nothin' can stop her from B.I.T.E!
Really, can't wait to see Your sketches here Girl..! Then there will be three of US here!

"What I like in your posts is that you use watercolors to design your characters. Not many use that in the age of computer-coloring, so it´s cool."

Well... Sorry to dissapoint You a little, but I used Computer here... Lots of...
You see: I make a skecht. Than I make a line-art. Then I watercolor them, but B&W only! Then I scan it, and give it the colours in Photoshop. That's my way...

"My suggestion: They seem to be a little bit static, why don´t you give them more dynamic poses ....or did you want to focus on the cloths?
    "

Yeah... I've got that problem called: "lazy bum" . I never had any serious art lessons, never drawed a real human from a model. (Maybe You'll help me dub'..? ) Don't get the proportions good. BUT I will learn it too. Though got some dynamic skeches and full arts, soon on CA.

Well, you have to be careful about what you consider to be "official" Star Wars. There are Star Wars fans who pretty much just go off the canon--movies, radio shows, info from Lucas, etc.--and ignore all the EU stuff. It's kind of hard to define what's Star Wars and what isn't. I definitely have to disagree with you about "Star Wars fans aren't interested much in GL's movies." That's just not true, because the movies are the heart and soul of the Star Wars saga. Everything else, whether "official" or "unofficial," is a supplement to the movies. Not necessarily a bad thing--but the fact of the matter is that the movies (and radio series) came first.

I know plenty of people aren't fans of the prequel trilogy. But I don't see how someone could call himself or herself a Star Wars fan and yet not like the original trilogy.

    Wow, way off topic. Sorry.
