The style is amazing but It looks as its not painted right.
WOW.. those colors are cool. There is someone who really understands the CMY-colormixing. Those trees are great.
Perhaps the green part shouldn't be at the image border. It somhow disturbs the composition for me. Also some parts miss colorvariation (the trees could use more of those areas like the one on the left where you mixed some purple into the leaves).
Zaknafain - hey thanks! CMY?![]()
FuLouZero - thanks, hmm i dont remember their ever being a "right way to paint" i painted it and thats how it came out![]()
I like this piece and ya, I too was confused by the concept of "Painting Right". Huh?
Peace, Love and Harmony... I could never get them all into bed at the same time!![]()
Love it. No crits here.![]()
Really killer stuff!!! A bit more green yes![]()
Great pic! Maybe tone down the magenta around his eyes a bit? Meh, I don't know... I still like this a lot!

Yeah man, it's just not painted right. I would suggest going back and painting it the right way.![]()
Very cool piece man, lots to look at.
pretty nice peice man, but what i noticed the most is a semi awkard composition. personally, i wouldnt cut off the ground at the bottom and give it a more subdued look a than the rest of the image this would ground the viewer and more effictively give a sense of the immense size of this creature. or you could cut off the ground entirely. either war the bits and peices we are seeing distract from the concept. i would also like to see some circular bit of something that would connect the top to the bottom and back to the top a bit more effectively.
nice brushwork when you melded the creature into the dark of the wood.
Nice work !
I like you color choices ( in those of your website too)
Keep postin'
Aweseome, could look at this all day.
The words seem like English, but they aren't spoken right.Originally Posted by FuLouZero

fresh..I like the color brilliance..I tend to paint with a similar style. I'm sort of fond of intense colors. although sometimes I wish I could break the habit. but I like it quite a bit....
I really like your use of color. As a signpainter it appeals to me, the brighter the better.
Your style would be great for promotional art (ie) signs, breakfast cereal lables, oversized posters for toys and games, candy etc.
I have one crit of something that's very distracting to me, and is probably what F'L'Zero was referring to, too...
The trees are very un-treelike in the leafy areas. The strokes are ok, they're just layered in a manner that makes more sense for fur or feathers than leaves. A tree just doesn't "act" like that...
Otherwise, it's a nice piece...
Cool beast.....say...is its head smoking ?![]()
I like those kind of fantasy cretures. A similar one is the owlbear from Warcraft 3, but if you look closer to both, they dont have much together, except the claws and the birdface.
Great picture.
The only thing I see is that tere is no real wood-texture on the trees. It looks more like some kind of...well...dunno. Not like bark.
hey thanks so much for your comments guys =D
i will keep them all in mind heee![]()
oh and next time im am sure to paint the the picture the "right" way next time.
anyway thanks all.
what program did you use and how did you get such chromeshiny effect ?
look I dont know why I love you I just do
too saturated, but i like![]()
