Sketch trade it is....!!! Glad to see almost everyone has replied again.. I was going to delete the thread.... anyways.. I am going to go along with what Mi said about your TC piece Scott... I thought you took Jason... Andmy reason is that the concept behind the sketch is more imaginative then jasons... Yeah, Jasons is great but, again.. You have the Loomer auroa about your artwork... the face on the dude thats getting chocked it great.. although there are some issues with anatomy and such (and Im referring to the girl mostly) i really dont think it hinders the overall likeness of the painting... you would get my vote and its not becuz your my compadre!!!

anyways... after the sketchtrade we can do a huge collabo.. maybe that way we can just keep things free and moving.. also.. thinking about it... when we do anatomy and such things we can do it in a collaborative form... where we pass it off and try to make artwork out of it... something that we could even display in the "finished" section... I think this way we're not always doing things pertaining to the group but, when it comes our turn to do our part in the collab we could just focus on that and move on... Being that Im still working on my Borg character which Im going to desperatly try to finish today without fucking it up cuz I want to finish it.. I could start on another character....
Mainloop- man i must be dyslexic.. cuz i thought you asked how many people are on lsd

Hi Vigostar. I told you that you shouldn't delete this thread. It's really great how almost everyone has united to keep this alive.

The colab idea sounds good. We can combine our skills to create something really good.

I'm looking forward to seeing everyones character designs on monday. It's going to be fun to do the sketch trade.

Sounds good. All you need is people to pay to look at it. I didn't know people could look at the gallery. Do you have set it so that they can or can they anyway.

thanks a million bums...that means alot to me. I really have no problem losing to Jason Chan...he's such a fantastic artist. All I wanted was another piece to go into my portfolio, and I think I got one!

off the subject...I'm going to be talking to my closest friend who designs websites, and we're gonna talk business...to get me a new website. I would like to have a Sketchbook section of sorts...but I must have about 8,000 sketches to pick from. There's a handful i'm pretty sure about, but if you guys have any sketches off the top of your head that you really like, let me know. It would help my decision making process!
    thanks...looking forward to Monday's awesomeness!

Loomer, I am also going to do my website soon, I mean very very soon. even bought domain and space just fiddling with design at the moment. I have few sketches not as much as you but quite a few, again like you a sketchbook section is what I am thinking. No other way to cleverly categorise those drawings I think. maybe studies? meh..

now, I do build websites for work and stuff, but dont' quite venture into server side because I hate it. But for my project I asked my friend who specialises in those areas to get me a easy to update gallery section of some sort to update my website frequently. Probably few sections with thumbnails and a little comments for each image. that's the basic idea, easier with thumbnails I guess.
Now why the hell am I telling you all this? just curious as to how you are going to best present bunch of drawings + build it so it's easy to update. How have you planned yours?

As for picking your images, it's going to be hard.

anyways.. I couldnt wait till Monday.. I had some time today at work so I was able to bang this out.... I wanted to do something different.. somethng very different.... didnt know what,,, after looking at Hussars artwork.. i was super inspired.... I was flipping through some magazine the other receptionist had and she had this Cool Nieman Markus magazine... So, basically I took the basic Idea of the photo and added my spin...

Thats a nice design Vigostar. I like the hat and feathery things. Does she have a story to go with her? I think we should name them, it gives more character.

I can't wait to see what everyone else comes up with.

    THANKS SO MUCH!
you rule Rob - man - all detailed like that.
it really is a huge help. There's just SO much to go through, it'll help to see which sketches carry the most power, ya know. I'm hoping to get the website done by early November...hope.

your character is looking sexaay! I like the approach and focus on fashion on her...I can't wait till draw her. I also started mine, and it's also coincendentally a female...but chicks are cool.

thanks again man - I'm gonna see about Oct. 9 - October is crazy for me (weddings every other day it seems)
    peace

Following Vigostar's shining example of support i've gone through your second sketch book and picked some out.

Aug 15, post #6 - Dark warrior pic
Aug 22, post #16 - Crawling demon pic
Sep 9, post #36 - Horse fighters painting.(I know it's not a sketch but I think you should include it somewhere.)
Dylan(You could use any of your sketches of dylan. You just draw him with so much sensitivity.)
Sep 20, post #47 - Giant carrying kids and the elephant swing.(you should turn the elephant swing into a full painting. It has loads of potential.

Also include your Timekeeper entry somewhere as well.

    I hope this helps.

Hey, Ian.. man that character looks great.. i see you moving in the right direction with that one.... i like the gun and the leather jacket... cool shit.. i think we may all have girlies this time around... im going to work on mine today.. i will have plenty of time...

Scott- no biggie man.. glad i can help...

So, i spent like 10 hours over the weekend revamping my sketchbook and organizing... it was alot of fun.. I was basically condensing my first four sketchbooks into one and two pages... putting the little sketches that i liked or i thought were important on a page. I started to rescan everything (now that I know how to tile together two things or even three things which i had to do). And in the midst of everything I realized alot and learned alot... i still have some work to do.. I still have my current sketchbook, and all my life/ figure drawings to scan.... Anyways... look out for it.. it should be up in a couple of days...

Hey, should we wait till each person has all of them done... then we can just post all of our renditions on one long horizontal post as opposed to post five different drawings at a time which could get confusing.... and when we put the characters on the post we post them in the order of the "postee" from left to right..! So, right now it would be Vigostar, Infini, Bumskee, Clogik...... and thats the way we would display the characters....What do u guys think?
Mainloop- man i must be dyslexic.. cuz i thought you asked how many people are on lsd
