    Demon Head (built in ZBrush.)

Here is a head that I was working on for fun and for learning. I tried to start out with a very simple mesh (made in Maya) and build it up to something very detailed. Here are the results:

This model was taken to subdivision level 5 and the rest was detailed with a 4096 X 2048 black and white map using the bump viewer shader.

I wanted to give my base mesh away to the community. I'm hoping someone else out there will take it and make something cool.

    Peace,

    I suck.

I guess no one like the flat grey version?

    Here is a color version:

    Hope someone like him!

Thats pretty awesome man, it looks amazing. My only gripe is the eyes in the colour version are a huge letdown. Everything else is so amazingly textured and coloured, and then the eyes are just these flat lifeless orbs...

    Need better eyes.

    Apropos,

I totally agree with you. This is just in Zbrush righ now. When I move it over to Maya I'll add an actual eye and a better eye shader. I will add a spec map to the head as well and try to make the blood parts look a bit more wet.

Here is a version messing around with blend shapes/morphs:

If you add a little black dot in the center of each eye that would bump the creepy level up a notch. Nice work. The smiling version is way better.

heheh i got fooled, for a sec there i was amazed at how u built it from scratch and didnt get that hideous gummy look, see the base model there

veeery nice, realistic features. impressive sculpting! the texture seems a weee bti generic however but since its just for fun

thanks for the donation, will definately have fun with this mesh =)
