Some really great work here! Look forward to seeing more. I especially liked the horse in the image with the woman holding it's reigns.

I enjoy your style. = ) Just one comment though, on the 2nd piece of the women (who look like realtors) walking towards the house, her foot (her left foot), looks a little crooked and not at the right angle for how she is facing/walking.

The "winter girl" piece is probably my favorite on this page. Good job! (Oh yea, and I can't remember if I've told you this before in a previous thread, but I love your username)!

RenegadePogo: Thanks! I know what you mean, people tend to associate the late 70s tv show and this updated version is so much better written.

    Orozc0: Cool, thanks.

artgyrl: Thank you, glad you like.

damdischink: I appreciate your kind comments.

Deselect: Thanks, I spent some quality time rendering that one.

Shenanigans: Drawing women keeps me sane. Thanks, my friend.

    lloorrdd: Thank you!

hurricane: You've been kind to me before, thank you again!

Bad Brownie: Yes you were kind enough to mention my username and respond to another thread of mine. Thank you!

...and yes, her foot is turned in too much. She's walking like a cousin of mine does. So I consdered it natural in this case, but it does have a tendancy to distract.

trying some sequential treatment ideas here...

The only reference I used was for the c-stands (lighting equipment).

Here's a rough of the scenario, however it doesn't explaining how I arrived at these vignettes. It's been helpful, I guess, that over the course of my career I've spent some time on the set for film and television where a syche wall was used.

I couldn't resist her smile, so I bought the shoes. Luckily they were my size.

Another piece from memory after a shoe shopping spree...

Wow! I'm impessed of Your work. Those girls look quite simple, butbeaoutiful. I must work a little bit harder with my ones... yeah, anyone who can draw ladies in that simple way is more Powerfull
Last one is for me the best, but I also like girls with umbrelas... but isn't that umbrela on right little twisted?

Denysiuk: Thank you very much. Yeah - that 'umbrella girls' sketch was done rather quickly, so it doesn't surprise me that there are visible flaws, as in many others I've posted.

Ohh this last one is lovely! great bum and hair.

The shoe girl one - the face seems to be a tiny bit off, sorta not symetrical or smth (I dont mean she should be facing the viewer), something just seems a bit off.

Great work as usual, post some more sexy girls!!

ThePenciler: Hey, thanks for peaking in on my website and if you see anything, anything at all that you question in my art, please don't hesitate to speak up.

fooxoo: You have a good eye. It's her nose mostly - it seems to be angled to far to the right. We should be seeing more of her left nostril. Overall structure is weak. Thanks for the encouragement though.

I really like those greyscale studies there at the end. the girl with the candle is really unique looking! I like how u used cool colors on her face making the warm glow in her eyes pop more (i have so much to learn, aaarrggg!!!)

Thanks. Those backgrounds are the same treatment I gave the lady walking toward the house, although I added some pencil lines here and there so it had a similar quality to the lady. I fixed her foot, btw.

Here's a few really rough sequential studies. Don't try to make sense of these - they're not necessarily all in order. Just thought I'd show my thought process as I think through the script.

thos sequential studies are great! I just sat through a long seminar from a guy who works for marvel on seguential art and story telling. I got some really good stuff from it like the 5 keys to try and have in every page, as well as Wally Wood's "22 panels that always work". If your interested let me know.

Dude, awesome work here. U are doing exactly the kind of things that i would like to do. No monsters, no animes, no comics, no sci-fi robots, etc.
And u have a great sense of human anatomy, i can tell u that. I like the studies and all.

Only one thing here. It seems that u need a little more practice on the things that u draw without reference. Just a little. Hope u don't mind me saing that.

Anyways, your works are 31479724 times better than mines.

Oh, and that quick drawing tutorial was just what i needed. Very nice of u to post it here.

Thank you my friend. I am fortunate to be surrounded here at the studio with great comic artists and am getting inspirartion and advice on a regular basis. Again these roughs are by no means ready for true sequential use. You'll see a progression to more dynamic layout and storytelling.

I appreciate your kind comments and encouragement to practice with my non-referenced stuff. Indeed, that is why am always busy with figure and life drawing and drawinf from reference for practice. We all tend to learn more and more each day, right?

In the meantime, here's some non-related sequential stuff I did late last year - kind of spoof on the Fantastic Four.

I didn't do the coloring - it was done by artist Jenny Hansen, but this is close to the final look was in the end.

Thanks, Alcian. Hands I am somewhat comfortable with - it's feet that makes me fall flat on my face. I'll have to do some feet studies i guess.

You've got a great retro feel to your work that's reminiscent of Kirby, both in your line work, and how you set up your angles. Very nice work.
The ref sketches and finished pieces are beautiful as well. Again, strong line quality. Thanks for sharing!

Thanks Dutton. Much of my inspiration came from silver age comic artists. And the Kirby reference was intentional. The client wanted a Fantastic 4, Kirby style look. Thanks for giving me the vote of confidence.

    Well
I really like your women ,very beautiful, good life drawings to but I dont feel the same energy in you comic based characters or maybe your characters in dynamic/comic-type poses. What I am saying is that I would love you as a comic cover artist but not when you do the interiors.
But still Your skecthbook is really something to watch out for and I have got the thread in my bookmarks/favourites.
    Looking forward to your work.
    Keep pimpin'.
