Hey Neoknocker,
Some nice sketches here, i like the hunter in the jungle (correct me if i'm wrong!) And i would work on the sketch of the hooded guy (he kinda looks a bit like the Grim Reaper if he is supposed to be him) it would make a nice piece of work. Keep sketching!

Hello there.
Nice work, Good confident lines.
When using tone, try really pushing the value (tone), get that 6B out and shade with it. It adds more depth and weight to a picture.
Good grasp of perspective as far as i can see.
Keep sketching, and keep posting those sketches.

I tried this new thing, well it is new to me. I wanted to find another way to have fun so I got myself a pad of black paper and a white crayon, this is the result. I think I'll try with some chalk for the next one. Got the image from a National Geographic.

Nice start, man! I'm gonna suggest some life studies and anatomy studies. Check proportions and such. You start doing this stuff now and it's going to help you a ton later. Especially the life work. I wish I did more. I always see improvement because of life drawings but it's such work for me that I don't ususally do it. But you can go right where I went wrong! Keep the thread alive! I'll be watching.

You know the odd thing going on. I started to do some anatomy this morning in the car, I carpool so I'm not putting anyone at risk, I wasn't driving neither, just so you know . But ya, I'm working on it and I will submit the page later on.

I like the bamboo pot. Yeah, the hunter in the jungle needs more contrast - he kinda blends into his surroundings. The white pencil on black paper is very nice! You do some more of those!

a few things I've noticed... You've got to work on your proportions and anatomy. And when you're drawing anatomy, try to use reference, something that breaks the arm down because your biceps/triceps don't look right in your last pic.

like I mentioned before I usually draw when I car pool, this was done with the small car mirror on the passenger side of my car pooler.

hahaha now I got a Tablet!!! Yep I finally invested in a Wacom so I did this corny apple to practice.

Here is the portrait of my carpooler. It was done during the travel down to work, took about 30 to 45 minutes or so, we have a 2h30 drive to do each day. So, when it's not my turn, it gives me time to draw.

So critics, as always are more than welcome.

decent graphite exercise peices. id like to see some ink work if you could. keep on practicing, studying and you can never go wrong.

Your studies are getting much better. I think you need to check your proportions a bit and really watch the balance of you characters. Also, when you are drawing, try creating the characters out of shapes and making sure they are arranged in space correctly and then begin turning them into your final. Good start, keep 'em coming.

Nice, nice. But I think you can do better! Maybe do some facial studies before next time. Like study the skull a bit and maybe some planar analysis of the face. Pick up the Bridgeman life drawing book. I'm having a similar problem so I snagged it for myself. Keep 'em comin' tho. You're gettin' lazy!

the sept 12 studies are extremely good compared to the rest of this SB. would love to see more of those. it just seems that in your other sketches there isn't as comprehensive of an understanding of form yet. but that can come w/ time and practice
