The Book of 9ine ••• November 21st - An... update? Serious?

Time for a sketchbook in which I actually update. I had a book a while ago here that had a short life, but I needed a fresh start on a brand spankin' new thread to get me going.

Some older stuff to start off. More coming soon whether you like it or not, beeyatches!

    Original sketch:

Done for a Thunderdome a while ago vs Prostate Sunrise:

Done for a sketch trade between flaptraps, Grovver McNab, lukavi, and Sinix. Got my versions coming soon...

    Quick Lord of LaQuinta sketch...

I really like the 4th and 5th one. Especially the 5th, the rough coloring there.

The Iconoclast: Good to see you around dude, thanks!

MIKECORRIERO: Thanks bro, I've got a ton of respect for the work you do. Always quality and you pump so much out, you machine you...

Tigermilk, liam.c, Mr. Blonde: Thanks guys!

Some recent stuff from my sketchbook:

    On this evil pope kick...

    Odd Nerdrum Study

    Caravaggio Study

Done with my badass ink brush pen without an underdrawing. There are obvious flaws but it was fun to do, nice and cathartic.

Fellah. - Nerdrum is amazing... I borrowed his art book from the library solid for months on end just to have it at my beck and call. I figured you'd dig him, we both tend to gravitate toward the creepy shit.

Morbidhumor - Thanks man... Sinix gave me a damn cool sketch to work from. Nice work in your book, by the way...

cotron - Rocking the Codenuts loud and proud... good to hear from you again C squared.

hurricane - Thanks dude, I've been hanging around in your book too damn much lately.

dns2k - Aww, you're just trying to get into my pants again. I told you at the workshop all you gotta do is ask. Thanks for the kind words bud...

mentler - The Bone Doctor himself, gracing my thread... thanks man, you've taught me a lot through your sketches.

    Lil' sumpthin' sumpthin'...

My piece for the Last Man Standing thunder fucking mega dome... so many great artists participating in that beast. Big thanks to all the artists that participated and the judges who are working hard to choose the contenders for round 2.

I ended up doing two or three half completed entries before I decided on going this route.

    This didn't pan out...

Cody... (I'm gonna call you Cody now because the doctor said its healthy for me to call people by their first or last names), the Caravaggio sketch is crazy, great sensitivity in your lines, and the values, wow. I can say the same about the evil pope ...why are you into these bad church peeps by the way? Did something happen when you were younger? Were you really an altar boy like Sinix said? I don't mean to pry, but I like hearing dirt like that.

Sweet work on your TD as well. The colors and use of texture give this malefic aura. Great way to imply 'demon' without going the usual route (sadly I was guilty of this). Keep filling this SB, dude. Pleasure to browse through it.

Thanks dude... I was never abused by a priest, but I'm sure I would have been if I ever went to church. I got a sweet little ass, man, they couldn't pass it up...

I'll update as soon as I get electricity in my house again.

Hello, strych9ine. I'm very impressed. Your work is very intriguing, left me with a lot of questions. It's very mysterious with a little on a dark side strange outcome feeling. Evil Pop scares me. I'll better go watch Steve_I animation again.
