    Sail away

    Hi guys,

I did a speedpainting of this, but I felt like elaborating on it a bit more than a speedpainting. So here's something I did between 2-3 hours in Photoshop CS 2.

This is very lovely Annisahmad, I'm always partial to boat paintings. Great work for the short time spent. I like the soft lighting, color and the texture you have.

    Awesome work.

Only thing I see kind of clashing, in my opinion, is how the sky is so balanced with the purple/blue and the clouds, but the water is all one major color, which makes it look kind of lifeless to me.

All in all, I'd buy that, it's a really great painting.

really good, and yeah a refreshing subject.. nice mood set by the composition.. i think the mountain range in back is too saturated, could use some more of the blue in the sky to gray it down some... almost a tangent between the rolled up sail and the top of the mountain.. sorry dont know any boat terminology.. good post

I just took a second look at the painting... nevermind what I said about the water, it's perfect.

Took a look at your website, the art and the site itself are equally awesome!

thanks guys, I really appreciate the kind comments.

IanE> thanks for taking a second look. You're right in a sense, though. I have overlooked any reflections, even if they should have been minor. But I thought choosing a color between blue and green would take care of that .

Main Loop> You're right about that. I was trying to blend them in, but kept myself from doing so instinctively.. don't know why.

Gregory> Thanks. I did not make the website, though. I got a close friend to do it who's a great website designer! if you want, check out his site; www.gigapromoters.com

    once again, thanks guys
