Environment....need crit! Come on, click here....

Hi everyone! I'm working on getting more 2D stuff going in my portfolio (I've been working in 3D for 5 years), so I thought I would start off with some environment work. I'm going to take this lineart into Painter and do some colorwork as well.....I tried to keep the inking a little looser than I'm used to, so hopefully that came across.....

Does it need more tiny detailing or does it have too much, etc???

I'd appreciate anyone's comments (especially the more experienced dudes/dudettes, if possible! - I need to learn)

I'll post more as I go through the process!

the question about your line work being ample is subjective.
what do you want from the piece?
will the lines be prominent like a comic book? if so, i think you need more details.
if it just a guide, this is probably enough. let the paint do the work.

    as for the drawing,
i think it look really good so far.
it appears that lighting might have a large impact on the piece.
the only real problem i see at this point is the window to the left.
the edges are quite wobbly, and it ruins its realism.

    Ah, thank you DSillustration.....

I want to have a semi-loose feel to the linework and actually keep most of it for the final piece, but if it will look too comic-booky (a look I'm not going for), then perhaps I should just paint over the lines and let the paint work out stuff like you said.

And yeah, I see those wobbles......long distance to cover on my 8.5x11 sheet of paper that the original is on....

this is good stuff to go from! Thanks again!!
