props to you man, I'm seeing progress with every post! Like everyone else said, don't stop practicing. Cracking that loomis book would be a great idea. Start reading and practicing the ideas in there. Draw the images from the book, draw people, draw whatever. Just keep drawing, you're doing fine.

    Looks good so far.
You might wanna start using bigger sized scetchbook/ pages.
To do like a single big figure and have enough space to go into detail later on after y might have defined the mayor shapes.

Hey Styler, nice to see you posting and working. Just keep in mind about those eyes and how they fit into the face. You still seem to be laying them across like they are flat. Keep up the good work.

thx for being the first to comment on my sketchbook - from the looks of your sketchbook u seem to have one of the same problems i have - too many lines. . .i dont know about you but for me I think its just cuase i'm afraid to get the form right teh first time. . .silly i know

anyway, try to do much less lines and still bring the figures to life.

yea, I have quite a bit of lines....but I think it's better to keep making lines until it's right...I mean am I supposed to just settle for if it's so obvious to me that it's off? I understand what your saying though thanks. I'll try to make less lines and make the images cleaner.

did these right before I went to bed yesterday.

try using a pen to increase your confidence in making lines, you'll eventually make less lines and they'll be stronger for it.

Thanks for replying to my sketchbook bro. You're doing extremely better from your first post. The road is really long but it's one we've all had to travel and still travel... enless you're some kind of prodigy. The biggest thing is to take your time and study the things you are drawing. Notice the shape ,texture, lighting that the subject has. You show alot of promise so keep it up!

Couldn't help but draw some more so I decided to work on learning how to draw some anatomy for a bit. Sketches from Bridgeman.

Damn man you've been working hard. It sure will pay off. I don't know the way you draw, but I'd suggest you looking more carefully what you are actually drawing. I have noticed so many times myself that I've looked but I haven't seen anything. In nature everything has a certain kind of flow and even a meaning behind every shape we see. The human body is such a beatiful example of this. I guess this is the thing that an artist has to learn. So keep up the studies and maybe put your pencil away sometimes and just study your refs. I'll be back soon.

Yeah i agree. When you draw from life you should try to simplify the drawing as much as possible. You are definitely improving. Keep it up.

I find that it's easier to draw if you have something that inspires you. I read a lot of fantasy novels and get inspired to draw anything fantasy. If I didn't like fantasy I probably wouldn't draw at all. What I'm trying to say is 'Why do you want to be better at drawing?' It may help you find inpiration and set goals.

Anyway keep it up and don't get to stressed about improving. Give some different mediums a go as well.

    cheers.
