Good last update styler. Christmas is no excuse not to draw, so props to you for doing it. I know it´s been said to you before, but I recommend that you slow down sometimes. Not always, but if you´re doing things like for example your ear studies: take your time, if you´ve got an anatomy book (and if you haven´t got one, buy one; Now!), look up the individual parts of the ear. Then, take a look in the mirror and observe your own ear. And then, draw it carefully. Afterwards, you can do a page of ears in 15 minutes, I´m shure it´ll pay off.
I like the hands from your last post.
    Keep it up.

I see your getting better from the last time that i check your sketchbook. As you draw something try to visualize the object as a simple shape. For example when you look at the ear it is shaped like the letter C. Keep up the good work.

Great studies, I recognize Bridgeman in there. Just keep at them and those proportions will get better. Look at the image you are drawing as a whole, maybe sit up and look at it from a distance, get those proportions right. Keep it up!

Hey Styler, Sorry haven't been posting anything lately but great improvement in that last drawing. One advice. When studying an object, unless you are studying it's gesture, be more aware of the movement of your lines. As many have previously said, don't rush it.

    Hey hey,

im also sorry i havnt been posting in a while. Post #154, #154 and #157 show great contol with the pencil, your improving! That bridgman study looks like you took your time, and can you see, if you take your time your drawings get better. Thats why i have been going on at you for all this time, next time dont take it the wrong way... . Your self portrait also looks good, but i think you might of rushed the neck and below.

Hope you had a Merry Christmas as well!

I think that it's great that you are taking the time to draw and sketch everyday objects. Sometimes I find that do so is excrutiatingly painful, but it's necessary. Try to use some more darks like you did in that last one.

Cool styler, I like the studies of 279.jpg

I think you are placing the features on the faces way better now.

Are you doing the excersizes from the loomis books? If not, you should really check 'em out, its great material.

    Cheers

besides your lines and your anatomical knowledge, you should also practise shading. especilally on your last hands you can see that you totally rushed the shading and thats also why it's that dark i think... Maybe you should watch other peoples pencil-shading... and maybe copy one or two works? or just try to get the principles (follow the form, ... )

madplanet: i'll try to use more darks, you are right, i've been told most of my stuff is pretty much a dull overall grey.

brokenspirit: yea I should get back to those sometime, his stuff is amazing.

embee: k, I will try to improve my shading.

    thanks for the feedback

some stuff for school I did for school that I still went too fast on.

Damn Styler, you been updating so much and I haven't even notice!

I do notice improvement though. Your lines are becoming much more formulated and structured. Keep working on that.

I like January 14th one with the two guys in suits and the first one of Janurary 13th. I think you should keep working on that one. It has potential.

Keep going and don't slack off like the rest of us!

Your persistance is remarkable. You're definately a role model for someone like myself lol. I have severe problems motivating myself. If only I had your drive. It was a treat scrolling through your sketchbook and seeing your skills evolve.

threeeysworm: I might come back to it thanks
twighlightmaiden: thanks, I'm tryin. Yea, sometimes I just make myself draw even when I don't feel like it and then i'll slowly gain modivation and get more into it. Just try it.

some attempts at drawing from imagination...not very pretty, but they were fun
