One thing that i might share with you that my art teacher told me.
The immediate perception of the human eye is to draw a circle or an oval, when in fact the eye is not a perfect shape. There are many lines that make up the total eye, usually 2 on top, one on the left side, and a single curved line or two lines that make up the bottom.
Also, while I havent' seen your old sketchbook, I dont know how much anatomy work you've done. The proportions seemed off on the second figure drawing, making it seem as if her torso was much larger than the waist.
Overall it looks like your making good progress. Keep working with anatomy and shading.
Been busy with exam revision and stuff so not much to show, gonna work on some stuff in painter so i might have some more soon. Peace out.

Andy!
Good improvements, man. Keep working hard, a lot of these are standing out so keep working! Focus on your proportions and anatomy a little more and keep mixing it with the direction you've taken these pieces in.
Good work, buddy, keep it rollin'.

Good start dude.
Keep working on those anatomystudies and maybe try using some shading on the faces to search the forms. The last warrior might need some slightly longer legs, bigger feets and some bigger swords![]()
Good work - keep em coming![]()
Thanks for the compliments, Fellah and IanE. As both of you said, anatomical work is needed so ill try and get back to studying proportions etc. more.
A painting of the last star wars kinda guy.

Well , first off, u've got your images up so we can see ( allmost all of ) them.
Congrats on that( sorry , in a cynical mood today )
You've seem to have a clear vision on what it is you want to draw, that's good.
On the other hand i suggest you study up on anatomy at first.
If you can, go to life model drawing classes, buy some life drawing books, draw
the every day life around you. And there's allways an excellent model that can stay still for as long as you want when you look in the mirror...
Those few things will benefit your imagination drawings a lot. On pose, correct AND believable anatomy, shading, etc.....
The best one is the skull/robot i think. Work some more on that one if you want.
Try to color it and add a background maybe...
The ship page is cool too. Nice forms. Some perspective errors here and there, but they can easely be fixed. Good work
Keep it up
Tom

Hey I'm really liking your robots and machines you've done. Hope to see more from you
Yeah, finally I can see some of your drawings!Your spaceships are looking nice, but definitely (as Art_addict suggested) you should study some anatomy. I know it is boring, it is always more fun to draw from your imagination, but by accumulating some knowledge about anatomy your character drawings will look really better.
I also suggest going for those anatomy studies man. Your stuff is looking good. That second pic in your last post is just awesome... just like the composition... i think you should try inking that piece to see how it would look more finished. the a last 4 pages also catch my attention. I like the clean lines, and the marker rendering. As Art_Addict said, start studying in perspective as well. Everyday objects, it doesnt matter.... just start doing it! You're still pretty young man, so you have a chance to be another one of those "LungBugs" around here
greetings!

hmmm...the last study is very nice ... but you tend to draw the legs too short...i think you did this because you have drawn the arms too short before right ?try to draw proportionaly "correct" stick figures before you start to draw the whole body. And learn more about the muscles of the chest and the arms. especially the Delta Muscle
and never stop to draw of course![]()
yes! the last figure is very nice man, good improvement, best thing so far.
Lower portion of the leg maybe too heavy. Almost as thick as the upper part/hamstring.

Thanks for the comments guys... but.. wtf is a Delta Muscle corky?
Will try doing some more drawing with proportion stick figure and stuff aswell, thansk again for dropping by.
Well done, Andy! I can see clearly an improvement in your last two posts. There are still some mistakes but I am sure that you will manage to fix them with some more anatomy studies.
The Delta Muscle is the Muscle of your Shoulderit consists out of 4 Muscle Strings and is one of the stronger muscles in your body...after all it stabilice your arm

Totally from my mid:
Right leg (his left) looks a little far forward but its not too bad.

(as said on irc
ok andy, i voted 2 stars for you.. not because i think your work sucks, or is bad, but because i think you have some way to go.. i also think you're good busy though, so just keep practising a *lot* and listen to the tips people give you. (for clarity's sake, i do'nt follow the denotations that CA gives to the star rating;; so 2 stars aint "bad" imo)
i'll get back to you for a decent crit or two, when time is on my side more
keep it up bro
LO thanks hyver... now its in my SB i cant forget it...
Tonights stuff... My #6 Sketchbook (since really kicking down in the drawing department)
