theBoognish:: I will be a second year graduate student in the fall (starting my second year) Thanks i've progressed but i have plenty to go. thanks for visiting my book.

Darktwin:: Thanks bro, i'll try and keep up with you.

Hearbeat:: Thanks for checking out my sketchbook!! the red block does look a little wierd i think i forgot to drop the small shadow in the front the grounds it on the green block.

Dhilipsomesh:: Thanks for your comments mate!!

Dile:: Thanks Dile, i have plenty of more work ahead of me as you can probably see.

Listing:: Great point, i will make sure i add the line of action before commiting to a pose, i think thats one of my first problems is not putting down the fluid line of action that would result in a much better drawing good eye mate.. good eye .

Matt Smith:: I'm glad you liked them Matt, thanks for your comments.

Stine:: Don't be Sorry Stine, we all have lives, and i know you mean no harm so don't worry oops i need to send you some more color stuff!!

Squaks:: Thanks mate and you are right a my characters are a bit more fluid but i have a long ways to go! I still need to push the poses even more!!

Thanks everyone for your warm comments and constructive criticism it is greatly appreciated, i have been motivated so much by many of you here at concept art. This is a great community for growth and friendship thank you all.

Okay i've been working on rythm its something i could use much improvement in so Bridgeman studies have been my current focus. His c and s curves combined creates accurate form and movement. Something i think all artists can use.

the bridgeman studies are looking good, on the other guy you posted, i am not sure about the proportions, the legs look too long, if you want longer legs, maybe try exaggerating them more, so it looks more like style. are they supposed to be twins?

I have missed some updates in your sketchbook. The drawings of the big cats are good I like also the last studies. On the other hand the last drawing isn't good. The proportions are really strange the legs are long and the arms are very short. Also I don't like the Egyptian style head. It is very unnatural to be in such a pose with the head in profile.

Matt Smith:: Hey thanks Matt i'm glad you liked the Bridgeman studies, he's all about the curves, about the other guys i the twins i made the out of proportion on purpose long and lanky i think you're right though on pushing it further.

wow, those bridgman studies are great, aaron! love them, especially the one on tinted paper... show a lot of confidence and still have their own style (which is always hard to keep when you are working directly from somebody elses's drawings). great job! the self portraits show a great sense of light and shadow, the shading is excellent. the second is my favourite, in the first (i think) the eye on the left is a tad too high, so the feautures seem a little off. always a pleasure to see more stuff from you! cheers,

always great to see you're working so hard, aaron. the latest studies are lovely as always, showing more and more confident lines. and the portrait is just awesome. i'm always wondering what kind of material you're using. could you describe your process/material a bit? would love to know how you work (sorry if i'm always feeding from what you learned...).
    cheers!

Nice update bro, everything looks solid, but there is something wrong with the abs, I think you made them a bit wide. Facial expression good, The bridgmans are beautiful, really nice rythem you got going on them. Nice work bro, keep knocking them out.

hey there! wow, you're really showing some great stuff lately! good to see you're doing some more finished sketches (although i really like the fast ones). like his facial expression, but the arms bug me a little, it seems as if they have different lengths. but i'm quite new to anatomy, as you know. always a huge fan of how you draw knees, admire that.
can't wait to see more. what's the background story of that project? cheers,

    Hey ashruum

Great work you're doing here man, especially on the studies mate. Think your zulu concept is under-developed right now. In SA we see lotsa Zulus, and that you have there aint yet zulu enough. Go to google images and type "Zulu" to see some great examples of how diverse the colours, braidings and props on these people are. Type "Zulu Warrior" to see more of what you're looking for. Headdress is important too, as are their shields. Keep developing that character - there's tons you can do with that theme!

hope that helps some, keep up the great work mate!
    ciao!

The bridgeman studies are looking good man. I like the anatomy on your spearman, some of the edges could be softened and the hands need some help. He needs a neck though. Just keep on drawing, you are improving
