Very nice gun concepts. Has that blacksmith feel to it, iron work heft.

Whos Matt Kohr? And what does once before mean?

I don't think drawing spheres to get the jisst of what you trying to create as something new.

check this link - I do spheres all the time on the side, started 2 years ago

Yep, using spheres to show the textures is pretty much a standard practice in the video game industry. It helps the 3D artist get the textures that the 2D artist intended. And Matt Kohr is a digital artist; he has a sketchbook here on CA - link.

Anyway, the latest piece is shaping up really well. It's a privilege to be able to see your process. Also, I'm interested to see how you handle the environment; how you manage to preserve the extreme perspective and the sense of action it brings. Should be a learning experience for me.

awesome paintover, and idea.... of course this is a serious matter... hellboy is known for his big arm, and it should take stage at a more dominant position... however personally I always hated the cheap ass big arm design... kinda brain lazy to me when they came up with it...

I can't say yes or no to that suggestion yet. But Mateja, I will seriously think about it, coz its a good point.

    Thanks man appreciated.

I thought same, i also hate that big arm, but it became iconic, so think about it. Her glare kinda suggest it by it self, and if hand was in flames(i don't remember if that hand burst in flame or not) maybe it will give some cool additional light, or storytelling element

With the wood branch it looks much better in my opinion.

By the way super dynamic pose and overall great look.

I like that latest cerberos painting where there are two soldier shooting, the only critique that comes to my mind is that it could use cast shadows on momnsters, light is too much omnidirectional so it doesn't give too much depth/form, putting cast shadows from the light of gun muzzles would give it more believability, also little hue/colour variation could pop it out more.
