Two days ago my hard drive stopped working (beacause of age I think) and I lost almost everything . Hopefully before this bad day I saved all my gfx and documents on CD. I have also new bigger disk.

Sorry to hear about you HD.

Nice fashion magazine drawings. The still life looks a bit odd. I think you rushed it too much. Can't really say what I'm looking at

thirdeye - thanks man. You're right about the still life. Sometimes I loose patience and start to make doodles instead of refined drawings. It's my weak point . However I returned to doing warmups and it helps.

No. 195 - I watched everything on sparth's gallery and here are some inspired sketches. Machines mainly.

Yesterday I found at home four very old albums about olimpics. They all have lots of Black&White photos with sportsmen in action. Some are bad average quality but it's enough for fast gesture drawings.

No. 198, 199 - Gesture drawings. I concentrate here on dynamism so these are drawn quite fast.

guggenmaneuver - thanks. I'm drawing in ink to get more line confidence.

No. 201 - The bigger guy's arms are too long but I can't erase ink so I will watch out next time . I'm still not confident with anatomy (too many construction lines) but I have some idea for learning this. Just have to buy A3 paper.

I think that his legs are too short rather than his arms too long. Try drawing with one line or at least with less lines than now when working with inks. I think that when it comes to inks - the rule "less is more" applies

thirdeye - thanks for advice. I have bad habit of drawing thousands of construction lines and after few minutes the character looks unclear and dark. I'm going to work on that.

Today I don't have time for long studies beacause of work. I sketched quickly what I saw behind my window.

No. 202 - A car, birds on the chimney (sea-gulls propably) and some old woman (she was walking fast so I barely measured the proportions )

jtheanswer - openCanvas is japanese digital painting program (although you can change language to english). First version is free for download. From HERE for example. In openCanvas you can save your painting to event file (WPE file) so that anybody can import it to his OC and see your work from the beggining to end. There is also networking option which allows you to draw with other person on one canvas through the internet.

No. 211, 212 - I sketched quickly few chatacters with all my knowledge of anatomy and it looks like I still know only a little. The notes and marks here show the weakest areas that I found:
    1. Stiff shoulders (or just strange).
    2. Neck in unnatural position. Doesn't look twisted.
    3. There is no purpose in arms position. Too straight so veery boring.
    4. The shape of abdomen is unclear.
    5. Too much construction lines.
    6. Something is wrong with elbow edge.

I'd be grateful if someone could find more mistakes . Meanwhile I'm going to draw some perspectives.

Eh. No perspective. I almost can't sleep beacause of this anatomy today. I think I'd better learn it by drawing imagination drawings but with help of different references. I quickly forget most of the details after conventional study...
I will go back to pencil after some time.

As a humble suggestion: Try to start out with pencil doing all the constructions lines and such and then go clean with the ink. Then erase then you'll see how much/ or little the contruction lines do for the sense of volume and direction. Thus you could plan a strategy to be able to draw with less construction lines from the beginning and while still keeping the full sense of volume direction etc.
My sketchbook flawed to the max page 5

Mindflaw - Thanks for advice. I recently noticed that athough I study muscles at different poses, I can barely draw main proportions of body. Especially from different angles. Torso can be too thin or have strange shape and so on. That's why I'm going back to simple tube & box construction of body. Dynamic lines can be added later but when the pose is not interesting, they don't help at all. It's still just stiff character.

I don't have time for any studies for today so here's just small sketch. It a bit "shy" but I managed to concentrate on many aspects of figure drawing .
