Here is some stuff that's been sitting around.
I've been playing with light and color lately.
I'll dump some more stuff in here next week.
Thanks!

The armordude is very cool, would like to see more like that.
real nice stuff James! I dig the first & third one! the second isnt really my cup of tea....but who cares![]()
congrats on you joining MB btw....![]()
there is something in those paintings... keep on this way guy, there is somethin' good behind !![]()
I'm a manky artist, don't mess with me
A couple points to consider:
The textures look a tad bit forced. Or at least inconsistant.
The guy in armor looks especially overdone with the textures. And it seems to me that the light source[s] is[are] conflicting on the head + armor vs cape.
In my opinion in the second one the two blue streaks are unecessary. I'm a fan of the moody peice.
And finally the women's eyes are most uninteresting. The necklace, chin and hood are sharper and therefor distracting from my favorite part [and I think the most important.]
there's a nice painterly feel to the rendering on all of these, but I'm really digging that fat iguana sultan hatching an idea for a dastardly deed.

another point: it needs more cowbell, especially around the eyes
Nice work bro.
These are wonderful and can I take this strategic position to congratulate you and steak-tron on your new, prestigious, employment. Top notch, well deserved.
Nice work.
The one I prefer is the armored guy : his armor is totally stunning. If the lighting of the face is as strong, it's gonna be a pure top notch picture.
Keep posting.
my favorites are the 2nd and 4th one, the second is very sienkiewicz-ish, and the last one reminds me of something i would see in the star wars concept books.. the faces seem kinda weak in the other ones, i know you can do better..
The guy in armor rocks my world 8)
