Your work is really awesome - I love the expressiveness of the heads that you fill your pages with. I'm amazed how your style can shift between 60's magazine illustration-looking work to amazingly subtle yet exaggerated cartoon expressions so effortlessly.

Those animal studies are absolutely fantastic! especially the crocodile and the monkeys... they had a real definite weight to them and in the crocodile you could see its little hind legs trying to propel itself along the floor

    very nice sketches

Those life studies are freeeekin bootifull! Serious, you have this blatant animator fluidity combined with wickedness.
Say.. do you lay down real basic general/directional/proportional lines super quick like and then upgrade your charcoal and then lay down firm slightly slower more accuric lines??. Do you also look at the figure as 'a whole' so you are seeing all the proportions at once?

Sorry for the small update guys, all my work is usually of traditional means, and taking photos sucks.

This I guess, is a sneak peek look at the main character of a comic pitch that I was hired to draw. Ill be adding the antagonist in a few days. The comic itself sounds fucking awesome, and If the pitch is picked up (please god please!) more fun work for me! if not, then eh, atleast I get SOME money out of it, and some kickass portfolio pieces out of it! Atleast you guys can look forward to seeing those in a few months!

    Alex5 - Thanks!

Deathchalupa - Yes! and No! i dont work for udon, these 4 pages were just a fun short I did for a comic portfolio I showed around to companys. Would I love to work for udon? HELL YES! so if you got the hookups brother, HOOK ME UP!

Laurentius - Thanks man! You probably wont ever see that Street fighter one finished, I gave the pages away to close friends. However, the future is open to possibilities of new ones! LOL I personally always use Hugo, Sean, Ken, Q, Twelve, Dudley or Elena.

Tensai - Thanks man! I think I remember seeing a design you did for a shoe shop! All red, with boxes on the interior, (cant remember if that WAS you, but either way, your stuff rocks!)

Kateoo - Thanks! I love both those classic timeless illustrations, and animations of the old days, the golden days.

Nom the puppet - Thanks man, I am always trying to get the weight, and movement of poses down. Be it man or machine or beast! LOVE that stuff!

Lukias - Thanks dude! I Pm'ed Lukias my process, but if anyone else is interested, I could make a future post about it.

Blog - Fuck yeah! Thanks man!

Maxetormer - Anytime bro! keep pumpin out those sweet illos!

Shobunkin - Thanks, Im always trying to push myself farther! glad to hear my work is starting to look unique and creative!

Bludhund - Thanks man! the pages themselves are a little weak in the compositional/storytellling areas, but my next ones will be better!

    Kaktuzlime - Thanks dude!

TheGnoll - Yeah, I cant wait until I can use my school's scanners again hehe, they spoiled me. You could always ask for... MORE HOT BABES!! atleast, thats what I would ask for. MORE HOT BABES HERE WE COME! (NEXT POST!)

The other design needed for the comic work.
    The sinister caterpillar.

Taj: Well, i've started thumbnailing the 5 pages needed for the pitch, if its successful, then Ive got another 83 pages to pencil. The writer im working for is a cool dude, you can check out his other book in progress called space double at www.th3rdworld.com . Things have been going smoothly so far, lets hope it keeps up!

Ooher, hope this gets greenlighted. The minimalistic style is very interesting ... is this how the whole comic is going to look?

Some quick digital sketching to warm myself up for some comic stuff.
Sorry for the small, and increasingly few updates, just been busy with life and stuff

Skeiff: Thanks man, glad you are seeing something useful.

Bludhund: Well that all depends on the inker and colourist I suppose. My pencils are fairly detail absent though, if thats what you are asking? Yeah, I hope it gets greenlighted too! It would be nice to work on it fulltime for a while.

Great Stuff as usual. I especially enjoyed the previous comic pages and the transitions as the main character was walking down the subway. Looking forward to seeing more.

    m0uS3r - Thanks dude!

jMarkus - Thanks dude! hahaha why would I want to look at some crap? have a little more self confidence mate! Ill stop by soon and post a comment.

Ahhh...Amazing Action Ape, its been a while ! D; Dude, really damn good sequentials, and that self portrait on crack turned out cool too(nice strokes). You should really try and get more out of that street fighter comic, I really thought you worked for that Udon company at first sight. That last one, really liked the frames of him getting thrown into the asylum room. That second frame, is that an eye in the background? Adds to the sense of wierdness. But hell, good stuff man. Dig it, keep kicking butt.
