I like the most recent second landscape a LOT! Keep it up!
The cresent beach one is great man, Your landscapes are really shaping up. DO you paint/draw exactly as you see? Because sometimes it's better to do what you know if something doesnt come out right, and in my experience, it'll come out better.
Thank you guys!
Pixel: No i dont do them exactly how i see, but with my own interpretations.![]()
What dan said. But otherwise it´s looking good
I like the perspective in the last picture
Here is another one:

Hey blue puppy, thanks alot man, yeah i do do alot of traditional paintings, and have even sold alot. But unfortunately i havent yet gone to paint landscapes from life.
The new tree added to the old landscape is very nice dude. Dangerous colorsbut looking very cool. maybe you should lower the last 3-4 little flowers a bit, they make the field look less big. Smalltime really. Is that sculls in the leafs?
Also i like the new ones a lot. Yeah go out and do life landscapes, its cool! Nice work dude!
Hey thanks Fellah! Appreciate your input!
I agree about doing these from life and with traditional media, start off with a limited palette until you are comfortable with mixing the colors.
yeah, im prob going to here soonAs for the colour mixing i got that down pretty good...i can mix colours pretty good, by the way guys i do do alot of traditional painting as well
mainly with acrylic. Just to let you all know, it seems that you all think i havent or something, so just to clear it up
Thanks.
Justin.
Justin.
I'm not sure if you using photos for reference but I think you are because of the blacks you put in your paintings. It's important to know the difference between a photo and a painting from life but it wouldn't help if I told you because It's something better learned on your own. When learning anatomy it is a good idea to have all your strokes fallow the form because your mind will pick up these strokes after a while and it will become automatic for you to draw any pose really fast because your mind knows the curves and contours of the body. hope this helps
hmm thanks, ChrisMayernik yeah, i actually just recently stated painting/drawing from life, and am noticing stuff like that.
Here is some traditional acrylics, - both took around 2hrs.
Dont like this one, but maybe you do:
I like this one though.

Justin those are great for acrylic. The only thing I use acrylics for is black and white paintings. If you can see everything in terms of value then it will be much easier to understand how to paint light. I've been doing black and white paintings for the past 2 years and they have helped me train my eye.
Thanks chris, yeah, Erik Tiemens recommended to paint atleast 2 black and whites a week. Thanks again.![]()
I gotta agree about the black and white thingI have to say that I like your traditional paintings better, I guess it's just a personal preference. The one on the bottom is very pleasant to look at, I like it.
I donno. there isn't much black in these, its just a darker colour than the original, say a dark green or w.e, i mean there needs to be a darkest dark and a lightest light....
It doesnt seem to bother anyone else.
Anyways, thanks for the comment on my traditional work.

The one with the stairway to the door is really cool, very surreal. I like what you're going for in that one. Again, I think many of the brushstrokes seem arbitrary or random, try not to feel pressured to stick within a single style or technique when doing these, above all keep working at it![]()
thx dan, yeah, i paint really what i like to paint, and, am kinda stuck with this style for a while. It will go away, you know its kinda like being stuck drawing naked hot comic chicks for a month straight, and nothing elseJust experimenting with different things.
Some little weird d00d i made up, just about a 5 min sketchPlease dont crit on it hehe cause there is nothing to crit, considering, nothing really has to make sense on this on
just something really for fun, you can tell me if you think its cool or not tho
Thought i would show you weirdo's, oh yeah, im going to be picking up a new anatomy book hopefully soon, so you will see alot of anatomy studies coming around the corner.
Well you tell me, as well as posting paintings/speed paintings, would you like to see my sketches of things, and anatomy studies etc more?
![]()
Your speed-paintings are incredible! I love your choice of vibrant colors; they make your pieces so alive. I especially love this one: http://img294.echo.cx/img294/1190/hills6um.jpg
I’m really feeling those colors, and the mood- as if it’s about to rain.
Hey if you’ve got other sketches and anatomy I wanna see! Post as much variety as you want. It’ll help you progress in the areas you’re interested in, plus showing us what other styles you got up your sleeve.Keep up the speed paintings too, they’re beautiful
interesting character you got there! Just the proportions are wonky (which u already know!), but when you get that anatomy book it'll really point you in the right direction. can't wait to see more!
The little character sketch is refreshing to see something different, and I won't crit itI'd LOVE to see anatomy studies, in fact, feel free to post whatever you draw, this IS a sketchbook... it's about experimenting and learning new things, have fun.
Tempist thank you so much, for your kind commentsReally cool, thanks. And thanks for stoppin in.
You will see many more paintings. As well as sketches.
Dan, thanks again man, you have been very supportive. Im gonna have to go check out both your sketchbooks, and leave a little comment.
another paintingit just happend im sorry. I did sketch and draw today tho
no ref.

I think the values in the newest landscape are alot more organized, remember, you really don't need alot of different values, many artists keep the values limited to a small number for organization.
thanks d00d![]()
Not sure of a name for this one.
You have to look really hard to see this one, if you cant see it for yourself, well, then i'll tell ya
To the right there are some trees and leaves on them etc, below is some calm water with reflections of trees and leaves and colour on it. And in the background/middle ground there are more trees and bushes full of colour, Really close together, which makes it almost hard to figure out what is going on in this.
