    That's one big lizard!

After prowling the threads here at Conceptart for a while, I figured I'd go ahead and post a recent illustration I did for Dungeon Magazine.

Created in Photoshop with a Wacom and lots of modified brushes.

I've included some layout elements to give context to the composition.

Let me know what you think.

it looks cool, but I don't get what's the right arm of the lizard resting on... that's the only downside if there is downside at all..

    Text Sidebar

That is actually a text sidebar. In the published version (Dungeon #122) there is text over top of that background about a previous issue of the magazine. Since the Letters section of the mag has it as a recurring page element I made the giant monitor interact with it to give the layout more depth.

Each month I illustrate a subject from one of the feature articles that didn't make it into the general art order and spice up the letters section with it. That is, when I'm not laying out the magazine and contracting out the art for the next issue.

I agree, I think I overworked this one a bit. I'll have to keep an eye on that next time.
